She got back to winning ways for trainer William Haggas last time out when she scored in the Oak Tree at Goodwood. There was an excellent finish there from her.

Conditions and the trip are likely to be right where she will find plenty to launch her leading claims from.

Shine So Bright back for a defence

This is such a good-looking race. Last year’s winner SHINE SO BRIGHT is back for another crack and has to be respected, even from out at 14/1* (betting odds taken from William Hill at 23:01 GMT on Friday, 21st August 2020).

His form last month really will have pleased connection as she battled to get third place in the Hackwood.

That Newbury run really was a nice return to form for the Andrew Balding-trained colt and we expect him to enjoy a return with place claims.

Safe Voyage to be kept on side

We like how SAFE VOYAGE is shaping up at the moment as well. On his last trip, he was in Group 2 company at Goodwood in the Lennox, where he claimed fourth.

However, he got a bit bogged down by traffic. A clean run should see him put together a bold claim.

Threat poses a threat

There have not been any fruits from those labours, but now as he slides down to Group 2, it makes a threat and he should be respected.

He was last year’s Gimcrack winner at the meeting so he has a course success under his belt to boot. Threat has Ryan Moore booked for the ride.

San Donato brings strong claims

We have to size up the challenge of SAN DONATO as well, who has been in some good company this season. He made a return to action in the Summer Mile where he took second place.

San Donato only found Mohaather too good for him there. Next San Donato went to the tough Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.

There he found the going, in such a hot fixture, a little too warm for him. But regardless of that, San Donato was shaping well in the fixture and brought claims.

Rest of the runners

BEAT LE BON won a couple of times towards the end of the last campaign. He nailed a second-place finish in a Group 3 Salisbury contest last time out, but was really heavy-legged at the start.

BRANDO isn’t quite showing enough to look like a real threat in this fixture. He is familiar with the York track, but it’s a long time since he won and shouldn’t be a key player.

ESCOBAR scored third last time out, his first appearance since wind surgery in the Lennox Stakes. Interestingly he has won with this same jockey on the course before.

QUEEN JO JO put in a good effort last time out to score in the Summer Fillies’ Stakes at York in July. The trip doesn’t totally look to be her favourite and this is a red-hot fixture.

Rightly this is some hot fixture. There are so many claims flying around in this one, there is a lot to pick through.

The first of the names that we will pull out is the popular mare ONE MASTER who just looked absolutely primed for this trip.

We like what THREAT could potentially bring to the table in this one as well as he slides back down in class. The 7f trip is his best distance as well and there could be a big run from him.
