Horse Racing Betting

Feilden Stakes betting is the big highlight of the day for Tuesday and we are looking at the listed fixture from Newmarket.

This is one for the youngsters, as only 3 year olds are taking part in the field, which is run over a distance of 1m 1f.

There are 9 declared runners, of which ROYAL CHAMPION is heading up the betting market currently as the favourite.

But this is a fascinating renewal with a lot of very good claims running deep in the field. Here is our Feilden Stakes betting preview.

Royal Champion the 5/2 FAV for Feilden Stakes betting

So the unexposed colt ROYAL CHAMPION is currently heading Feilden Stakes betting as the 5/2 favourite* (betting odds recorded on April 12th, 2021 at 23:07 at Betway).

This will be just his second racetrack appearance. He opened comfortably with a score on his debut.

That win was recorded here at Newmarket in September over a 1m trip. There has to be a lot of improvement to come.

Royal Champion will be heading to the Derby if things all go to plan, so that speaks volumes about him. The colt is likely to be a big shaker in this fixture.

Artuto Toscanini
6/1

Secret Protector in with a chance

During the Dubai Carnival, SECRET PROTECTOR produced a victory at Medyan. It was an easy win as well that he took in February.

That was in a conditions event and he too looks like he has plenty more to offer. Secret Protector is actually sitting on a hattrick now for Charlie Appleby.

He is improving rapidly but the looks of at and came a long way to get that Meydan win after having gotten off the mark in a Kempton novice.

Secret Protector is a 10/3 option for Feilden Stakes betting* (betting odds recorded on April 12th, 2021 at 23:07 at Betway).

Highland Avenue seeks a hattrick

4/1 shot HIGHLAND AVENUE is another of the runners in this field who is seeking a hattrick* (betting odds recorded on April 12th, 2021 at 23:07 at Betway).

Both the wins for the son of Dubawi have come this season.

It has been back to back wins on the all-weather for him, the latter of those happening at Kempton 41 days ago.

Highland Avenue had been the 4/9 FAV for that contest and duly delivered the odds.

The victory came by almost two lengths, so he has to be respected and it is another of Charlie Appleby’s strong hands in this race.

Arturo Toscanini could be the way to go

Our actual horse racing tip for Feilden Stakes betting is ARTURO TOSCANINI who will be making just his second appearance.

He is a quote of 6/1 to get the job done in this run, his first as a three year old for Aiden O’Brien* (betting odds recorded on April 12th, 2021 at 23:07 at Betway).

But there was such a promising debut for him.

That came in November at the Curragh when he was really keen late on and got up well when he was asked for more on that 7f trip.

The tongue strap is applied for the first time as well and he looks like the extra trip is going to play into his hands strongly.

Youth Spirit could have a say in the matter

This is a really good lineup for Feilden Stakes betting and YOUTH SPIRIT isn’t out of this as a 13/2 quote* (betting odds recorded on April 12th, 2021 at 23:07 at Betway).

He came up with an excellent place finish in Goodwood’s Vintage Stakes in July on his final run as a juvenile.

Youth Spirit looks built for a longer trip like this and makes for a very interesting entrant into this fixture.

That Group 2 third place finish at the Vintage Stakes was an excellent effort from.

He was progressing very well as a 2 year old and now it will be very interesting to see what he brings back to the table as a 3 year old.

The rest of the runners

FANCY MAN was going well as a juvenile as well, winning two of three efforts.

The latter of those was a massively convincing score over 1m in a listed race at Haydock. He may well not be too far away in this run.

GENTLEMAN JOE opened life as a three year old with a victory at Kempton a month ago.

That was a much improved effort from his debut. This looks as if it may just be beyond him however.

NEW TREASURE has a little more experience than most, and he was a Group 3 winner as a juvenile.

He returns to the UK after spins in the Saudi Derby and the UAE Derby in which he took third place in both of those. He should go well on the turf.

Predictions & Tips for Feilden Stakes Betting Odds

So our first racing tip for Feilden Stakes betting is ARTURO TOSCANININ at 6/1* (betting odds recorded on April 12th, 2021 at 23:07 at Betway).

We think, especially with the tongue-tie going on that he can have a good say in this. It’s a deep field of progressive youngsters and he doesn’t look like he will go down without a fight.

The Derby-bound ROYAL CHAMPION is also likely to come up strongly in the fixture and give his odds a good run for the money.

We would also have to lean towards SECRET PROTECTOR after his facile victory at Meydan. There are certainly decent claims there.
