Fakir D’oudairies 11/8 FAV in Aintree Marsh Chase Racing Odds

The brilliant FAKIR D’OUDAIRIES is the current favourite in Marsh Chase betting odds 2022.

He is currently at 11/8 for the win* (odds recorded at 20:46 GMT on April 7th, 2022 at Betfred).

12 months ago Fakir D’oudairies took the win in the Marsh Chase, arguably aided by the absence of Allaho.

But he is a high-class chaser and there has been superb form from him this season again.

On his latest run, Fakir D’oudairies was seen landing the Grade 1 Ascot Chase in February.

With no run at the Cheltenham Festival this year, Fakir D’oudairies returns fresh and looks to have a big chance of landing another Grade 1 win.

Funambule Sivola to get in the mix

Another of the big players in this field is likely to be FUNAMBULE SIVOLA who looks to bounce back to winning ways.

He missed a hattrick chance last time out, when he was a runner-up in the Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.

Even though that wasn’t a win, it was another massive step forward in the form of Funambule Sivola.

Funambule Sivola likes to get to the front and put a bold run in.

That style paid off royally for him in the Game Spirit Chase at Newbury in February, pulling clear of Sceau Royal by a couple of lengths.

There is a quote of 7/1 on him to win in Marsh Chase odds* (odds recorded at 20:46 GMT on April 7th, 2022 at Betfred).

Sceau Royal not to be dismissed

Friday will see the first run at this distance for 10 year old SCEAU ROYAL. He is not without a chance though.

He took a really game runner-up spot to Funambule Sivola at Newbury on his latest run.

Sceau Royal had conceded 6lb to that rival, so it was a run that was full of credit.

There was no appearance at the Cheltenham Festival this year for Sceau Royal, connections keeping him fresh.

Sceau Royal won a couple of times at the start of this season. He still retains plenty of top-class ability.

Sceau Royal comes in at a quote of 14/1 in Marsh Chase Tips* (odds recorded at 20:46 GMT on April 7th, 2022 at Betfred).

Saint Calvados worth another look

Paul Nicholls’s SAINT CALVADOS failed to complete his latest run when he was pulled up in the Ascot Chase.

A health issue was discovered afterwards. Saint Calvados has been lightly worked in the last couple of years.

But he showed that the ability is still there when he was third in the King George in December.

That was on his debut for trainer Paul Nicholls.

Saint Calvados is definitely an interesting entry at 8/1* (odds recorded at 20:46 GMT on April 7th, 2022 at Betfred).

Captain Guinness a threat back in Grade 1 company

CAPTAIN GUINNESS was a winner last time out, landing a Grade 3 success over in Ireland on a 2m trip.

He had an excellent finish in him that one. Captain Guinness is looking like a good chaser and has Rachael Blackmore booked.

That recent Naas win doubled the tally for the season by Captain Guinness.

In Marsh Chase betting odds, Captain Guinness is at 14/1* (odds recorded at 20:46 GMT on April 7th, 2022 at Betfred).

He is another that bypassed the Cheltenham Festival so has been very nicely refreshed.

This longer trip is very interesting and he is well worth his place back in Grade 1 company.

The Rest Of The Runners

HITMAN has been rolling along nicely in conscience form this season. Twelve months ago Hitman won the Grade 1 Manifesto novices’ chase.

He was nowhere near launching a challenge against Funambule Sivola in the Game Spirit at Newbury. Hitman needs to find a lot more.

MISTER FISHER was a winner on his penultimate run, which was in the Silviniaco oOnti Chase at Kempton.

He’s not the greatest jumper, and the ground wasn’t in his favour when he came home fourth in the Ascot Chase on his latest, but Mister Fisher is no forlorn hope.

PAINT THE DREAM was a winner on his latest run, scoring the Greatwood Gold Cup handicap in March. That’s two wins this season in five runs by him. This is a much tougher assignment for him however, which leaves him with a lot to do.

ALLMANKIND was a winner of the Old Roan at Aintree back in October. He has struggled over both the fences and the hurdles the last twice however, so badly needs a spark of revival.

EDITUER DU GITE has been improving well this season and was a fourth place finisher at the Grand Annual at Cheltenham last month. That was from a career-high mark.

Edituer Du Gite comes up in the distance, but this is some extremely tough company that he’s dealing with on Friday.

Predictions & Tips for Aintree Marsh Chase Racing Odds

It is interesting that most of the key players that we are looking at in Marsh Chase tips 2022 took a pass on the Cheltenham Festival.

Top of the billing is the 11/8 favourite FAKIR D’OUDAIRIES* (odds recorded at 20:46 GMT on April 7th, 2022 at Betfred).

He looks like he has too much for this field, even being untested at this distance.

MISTER FISHER is worth a look at 10/1 to run himself into the picture* (odds recorded at 20:46 GMT on April 7th, 2022 at Betfred).

He will need his jumping A-game, which doesn’t always show up, but he showed plenty of form winning at Kempton in January.

SCEAU ROYAL is the other for the Marsh Chase tips shortlist at 11/1* (odds recorded at 20:46 GMT on April 7th, 2022 at Betfred).

There was top form at the start the season for him and his excellent second conceding a lot of weight to Funambule Silva last time out, means that he could make his presence felt.
