Eye Of Heaven heads Sandown Racing Odds
The odds on favourite in Sandown Racing odds for the National Stakes is EYE OF HEAVEN at 5/6* (betting odds taken from Unibet at 18:14 GMT on Wednesday 15th July 2020).
He scored on his debut in a novice event at Newmarket, winning that effort with plenty to spare. But he never quite got himself into the groove on his second trip.
Having booked Frankie Dettori, that will give Eye Of Heaven a decent chance of getting to the winners’ circle.
That was at Ascot when he was thrown into the Norfolk Stakes (Group 2) and didn’t live up to the big reputation that he was carrying into the fixture.
He’s coming down in grade which should help perhaps get him back on track.
Ubetabilivit to take plenty of support
The big challenger to the favourite in this contest is UBETTABELIEVEIT. He gets Oisin Murphy in the saddle for starters and his form has gone in the opposite direction to that of Eye Of Heaven.
Ubettabelieveit took a fourth place finish on his debut. He came on a long way for his second contest when he showed up at Doncaster just over two weeks ago to score a victory.

Furlong Factor to show?
In terms of racetrack appearances, FURLONG FACTOR is the most experienced runner in this field. She hasn’t been in bad form either. She scored on her third attempt which was at Chepstow.
But it’s her following race that really showed what she was capable of. At York she was among the listed company and took a brilliant second in that effort.

The Rest Of The Runners
DELIVER THE DREAM scored his first win at second attempt. That was at Windsor back in June. But that was only a minor event and is likely going to find a much bigger effort against a stiffer company.
MCMANANAN is likely going to be bringing up the field. He has only had one run and finished eighth in that debut at Doncaster, a race won by Ubettabelieveit.
WINGS OF A DOVE is still looking for her first win, as she is a twice-ran maiden. On her debut she scored a fifth place at Newmarket, but did run well. She was then thrown into the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot and was nowhere to be seen.
Predictions & Tips for Sandown Racing Odds
We like what we saw in UBETTABELIEVIT on his recent score at Doncaster. Enough to back him to get the follow up victory in the National Stakes.
Yes, EYE OF HEAVEN should be there or thereabouts in the fixture, but there is a chance that the former could have progressed beyond him.
Rounding out the top three we would seriously have to consider filly FURLONG FACTOR to make a strong showing on the short trip.
