The Kazakhstan player has looked strong so far.
She hasn’t dropped a set in reaching the fourth round, unlike Williams.
21-year-old Rybakina is on the up on the WTA and this is just her second appearance in the main draw at the French Open.
It’s just the fifth time in a Grand Slam for her.
She is the underdog in what will be the first meeting between the two players.
Experience at this stage has to count for so much and we expect Williams to step it up against the talented youngster.

Azarenka, who dropped a set in her opener, has been on cruise control since.
In the third round she blitzed Madison Keys off the court quickly in a 6-2 6-2 victory.
She looks in fairly good spirits at the moment and the Belarusian holds a commanding head to head lead over Pavlyuchenkova.
It is a 5-1 lead that Azarenka has there.
The most recent success happened in 2019 in Monterrey.
The one defeat Azarenka had against Pavlyuchenkova was a retirement in 2015.
Russia’s Anastassia Pavlyuchenkova pulled off a massive shock in the third round of the French Open.
She pulled out a victory over third seed Aryna Sabalenka, from a position of having been the big underdog in the match outright.
Can she follow up though?
That’s not going to be an easy task to pull off back to back Grand Slam match wins against Top 15 seeds.
It’s only the second time that she has made it past the third round of the French Open.
This may not be a bridge too far against the in-form Azarenka. The head to head is pretty telling.
