It is the end of season event for the eight players who picked up enough points on the tour to make it Singapore for the finals. The eight ladies are split into two round robin groups, with the top two from each moving on to the semi finals. So it’s an interesting format and it is a tournament which has been dominated by Serena Williams in the last two years. She goes as 6/4 favourite at online betting site Paddy Power for the latest edition.
That is an immensely strong price with Maria Sharapova coming in as second favourite at a price of 4/1, with Petra Kvitova at 7/2. There is Group betting to take a look at, and in the Red Group, the tournament favourites Williams is housed, so she is naturally an overwhelming 4/7 favourite there, following by Ana Ivanovic, Eugenie Bouchard and Simona Halep all around the 6/1 mark.
In the White Group, Petra Kvitova (who was a winner in 2011) has taken an odds edge at a price of 6/4 to top the group (largely because she is a fantastic indoor player), with Maria Sharapova at 7/4, with Caroline Wozniacki and Agnieszka Radwanska making up the outside shots in the group.
So there is plenty of round robin match betting to be enjoyed over the next few days from some of the best players in the world on the WTA Tour. It’s a great spectacle with the final coming on October 26th.
