Lostintranslatoin can make his presence felt

Another of the key contenders on Saturday is LOSTINTRANSLATION who could benefit from having had a wind op.

Last season just didn’t pan out for Lostintranslation at all, but he has proven form his record that puts him in this.

He was brilliant in the season before including landing a victory in the Betfair Chase and earning a place finish at the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Lostintranslation just needs to rediscover his best.

The wind op could have a positive effect and if he’s near his best should be in the mix.

Can Defi Du Seuil find his best?

There was a disappointing season for DEFI DU SEUIL last time as well.

He was sent out twice in the previous campaign and failed badly in both of them.

So he is looking for a spark as well and like Lostintranslation has had a wind op in the hopes of perking him up.

Deu Du Seuil is a former Triumph Hurdle and JLT Chase winner so clearly has the ability in him. If he was back to his best he could have a say.

There’s just no guarantee that his best is going to happen, but he can’t be totally dismissed.

Does Master Tommytucker have enough?

Having been easily beaten by Dahsel Drasher last season, MASTER TOMMYTUCKER could be up against it on Saturday.

He is prone to the odd bad mistake, but there were still positives from him last season, winning three times in total.

In the course and distance Betfair Chase Grade 1 effort, Master Tommytucker went well but just couldn’t touch Dashel Drasher.

A reappearance effort three weeks in the Group 2 bet365 Hurdle at Wetherby should have shaped him up.

BENNY’S KING lost twice over course and distance to Dashel Drasher last season, which potentially makes Saturday tough for him.

He did overall but produced solid form at Ascot last season and claimed a handicap win at the venue.

Connections would have liked his reappearance run three weeks ago to have gone a little better, but he got some wind in his lungs.

Pistol Whipped

A lot more is going to be needed from PISTOL WHIPPED to get involved in this contest. He was going well at the end of last season.

He won handicap chases at Plumpton and Perth to sign off in fine style.

There was a good reappearance run from Pistol Whipped in the summer, taking second in a very warm Uttoxeter contest.
