Cheltenham horse racing tips looks at a big Saturday of action to come from Prestbury Park, which is Festival Trials Day.

The actual Cheltenham Festival 2022 will be here before we know it, kicking into action in mid-March.

Until then, we have a nice warm-up at Prestbury Park on Saturday’s card which features three Grade 2 races.

So here are the best of Cheltenham horse racing tips for Saturday, 29th January 2022.

All times listed are GMT.

15:05 Cheltenham Cleeve Hurdle Horse Racing Tip

Distance: 3m

CHAMP will probably be heading to the Stayers’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival 2022.

He has been in superb form and confirmed his ability when taking the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot, which happened to be his first run over the hurdles since the Spring of 2019.

In that Long Walk success, Champ beat Paisley Park and Thyme Hill and can further strengthen his Festival claims on Saturday.

PAISLEY PARK who is a Cheltenham favourite couldn’t get anywhere near Champ in the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot.

He was five and a half lengths back of that rival. But Paisley Park has won the Cleeve Hurdle for the last two years.

He probably will make a decent play in this one, but he hasn’t looked quite the force of old on his last few runs.

MCFABULOUS had a good reappearance in taking a runner-up spot at the Relkeel a month ago behind Stormy Island.

He did get a couple of Grade 2 wins under his belt last season. Mcfabulous is unexposed at this distance but should put together a decent case.

Tip: CHAMP 1/2

Ones to watch: Mcfabulous 4/1, Paisley Park 5/1

CHANTRY HOUSE has a big chance of warming up for what could be a strong Gold Cup challenge in this one on Saturday.

He has been in storming form with four wins in his last five efforts.

He did disappoint backers when pulling up in the King George last month.

Chantry House had been the favourite for that one but is likely going to be far more comfortable at Prestbury Park having won the Marsh Novices here last year.

AYE RIGHT made some nice progress in winning the Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle a couple of months ago.

It took a while to click over the fences, but that saw the 9-year-old put it all together to get off the mark.

It was a narrow win, but connections will have been relieved, and he should get in this as it’s a bit of a thin field.

SIMPLY THE BETTS likes a blast around Cheltenham and could be a player as long as he proves his stamina.

There was a runner-up place for him from a lower mark on New Year’s Day at Cheltenham which puts him in good stead for this one.

That’s a couple of promising runs that Simply The Betts has had over the fences this term.

Tip: CHANTRY HOUSE 10/11

Ones to watch: Simply The Betts 11/4, Aye Right 9/2

FARINET claimed his second win in his last three with a score at Sandown three weeks ago.

There was further good progress made by him in that one.

On his reappearance, he showed up at Cheltenham in the Racing Post Gold Cup and lost a shoe. Farinet should be involved.

MAGIC SAINT may have a chance here if he can finally put things together at this distance.

The conditions will likely give him a chance on Saturday.

There was a fourth-place finish for Magic Saint at course and distance last time out.

Magic Place is down 5lb from his last winning mark and can make a decent case for himself.

COOLE CODY is worth keeping an eye on for the shortlist in Cheltenham betting on the weekend in this competitive contest.

He is a bit of a course specialist and will be looking to bounce back. It was a rare misfire that he had here on New Year’s Day.

Coole Cody has won a couple of times at C&D before and usually has a good enough attitude to expect a bounce-back.

TORN AND FRAYED is expected to kick on this year after winning over the timbers a couple of times last season.

He appeared in a course and distance novice in November and was only beaten by a good opponent.

Torn And Frayed pull up at Haydock on his latest after struggling on some heavy ground.

Tip: MAGIC SAINT 6/1

Ones to watch: Farinet 6/1, Coole Cody 7/1

ICEO looks to be a very exciting one and has won his first two efforts.

The first of those was in France and then at Kempton last month.

The finish at Kempton was very powerful from Iceo who should have a lot more to offer and can make his presence felt.

PIED PIPER has high expectations surrounding him after being an expensive purchase to go to Gordon Elliott.

There was a hurdles debut win for Pied Piper a month ago when he flew over the timbers at Punchestown last month to leave a very good impression.

INTERNE DE SIVOLA has some good pedigree behind him and he got off the mark at course and distance in December.

Given the way that he delivered the score in that fixture, Interne De Sivola can’t be taken lightly back at the venue on Saturday.

Tip: ICEO 9/4

Ones to watch: Pied Piper even money, Interne De Sivola 6/1

HILLCREST is one of a few with some fantastic form heading into Cheltenham betting on the weekend.

Hillcrest just completed a hat trick a month ago with a score at course and distance. He found a very nice finish in that one.

Hillcrest will have his work cut out in this one as he gives the least 5lb to the rest of the field in this one.

BALCO COASTAL is rapidly heading in the right direction as he looks to complete a hat trick of the current form.

The former bumper winner dug one out at Ludlow over the hurdles last month, showing an excellent attitude. He’s a top prospect for Nicky Henderson.

A DIFFERENT KIND has won all five runs this season and is looking like a hugely prosperous one.

The latest of his wins was at Catterick in a small field 14 days ago. This is much tougher but there surely has to be further improvement still to come.

Tip: BALCO COASTAL 9/4

Ones to watch: A Different Kind 10/1, Hillcrest 11/8

OSCAR ELITE just seems to have stalled on his last two efforts, but it is too early to write him off.

He comes from a winning yard and while things haven’t quite clicked over the fences, a lenient mark should help Oscar Elite’s chances on Saturday.

BEAKSTOWN is worth a look after taking a credible runner-up spot at Doncaster 18 days ago. That was a nice return to form from him.

He could arguably have done better still at Doncaster, and he isn’t the straightest of runners.

But he’s down 9lb from when he took a fifth place in a Cheltenham Festival handicap a couple of years ago.

YOUR DARLING offers plenty of appeal in this wide-open contest.

He opened the season with back to back wins, including a chase debut score at Huntingdon.

There have been some flaws with finishing races the last twice, but a bit of form has been franked from his third at Kempton on his latest.

Tip: YOUR DARLING 7/1

Ones to watch: Beakstown 9/2, Oscar Elite 4/1
