Native Trail 4/11 FAV in Craven Stakes Racing Odds

The big player in this year’s Craven Stakes is NATIVE TRAIL who is a red hot favourite to take the title.

Native Trial is a quote of 4/11 for the win* (odds recorded at 19:09 GMT on April 12th, 2022 at Bet365).

It has been four wins from four by him, absolutely dominating the juvenile scene during 2021.

The last of his wins was in the Dewhurst Stakes here at Newmarket six months ago.

He will be going to the 2000 Guineas and Native Trail will probably head to that undefeated still.

Huge claims are there on his return now under rider William Buick.

STAR OF INDIA
9/1

Star Of India the biggest challenger?

There could be a good challenge to the favourite coming from STAR OF INDIA in midweek.

He is superbly well-bred and has a stack of potential. This will be just the second racetrack appearance for Star Of India.

Star Of India’s debut ended in a comfortable victory, which was at Leopardstown last autumn.

That was an exciting debut and there has to be a lot more to come from him.

There’s a quote of 9/1 on Star Of India to come good* (odds recorded at 19:09 GMT on April 12th, 2022 at Bet365).

It’s a scenario that is not totally out of the picture.

Hoo Ya Mal set for a challenge

The juvenile campaign for HOO YA MAL went pretty well, including taking a victory at York in a maiden.

On his final of the campaign, Hoo Ya Mal was at Doncaster in a Listed run.

That was 7 months ago Doncaster and he hit the line well in it but was beaten by a nose.

There should be better things to come from him this season.

Ho Ya Mal is worth considering for the shortlist at 11/1* (odds recorded at 19:09 GMT on April 12th, 2022 at Bet365)

Claymore to be considered?

There was a debut win for CLAYMORE in a novice event here at course and distance.

That success for Claymore was in October on a 7f trip.

On the evidence of that run, it looks as if the move up to the 1m mark will suit him.

The debut win was impressive and claims could be there at 11/1* (odds recorded at 19:09 GMT on April 12th, 2022 at Bet365).

Al Mubhir with potential

Another debut winner was AL MUBHIR, a son of Frankel who could make a bold show on Wednesday.

The debut for Al Mubhir was six months ago here at Newmarket.

The Craven Stakes is a much bigger examination of course, but he comes from a top yard.

The tongue tie will be received by Al Mubhir for the first time.

There’s a quote of 14/1 in Craven Stakes odds on Al Mubhir* (odds recorded at 19:09 GMT on April 12th, 2022 at Bet365).

Zechariah may fall short

After a slow start to last season, there was improved form by ZECHARIAH at the end of it.

He landed back to back wins, finally coming good as a performer.

The latest of those wins was in September, scoring from a 9/1 SP at Newbury.

That was on a 1m trip, but this is going to demand a whole lot more.

Zechariah is a long 20/1 quote* (odds recorded at 19:09 GMT on April 12th, 2022 at Bet365).

Kingmax the outsider for the Craven Stakes

There has been a reappearance run for KINGMAX which may give him a leg-up for this midweek effort.

Kingmax claimed a win in a novice effort at Kempton in March on his first run of the season.

The form from that impressive win reads very well.

That was Kingmax’s first run for a new yard and he’s no forlorn hope, despite being a huge 40/1 quote* (odds recorded at 19:09 GMT on April 12th, 2022 at Bet365).

Predictions & Tips for Craven Stakes Racing Odds

The presence of NATIVE TRAIL may make this year’s Craven Stakes a bit of a non-contest because he is that good.

He bossed everything in the juvenile division the last term and is going to be really tough to knock over.

But in case that he is not tuned up for the day on his return, STAR OF INDIA looks to be the best option.

He’s bred superbly and would have claims to be the best of the rest at 9/1* (odds recorded at 19:09 GMT on April 12th, 2022 at Bet365).

One final selection for the race is HOO YA MAL at 11/1* (odds recorded at 19:09 GMT on April 12th, 2022 at Bet365).

He came up with a good strong finish in a Listed race at Doncaster on his final run of last season and could come back stronger.
