El Bodegon 10/3 FAV in Dante Stakes Racing Odds

There is so much to like about EL BODEGON who can take his rising stock even further by landing Dante.

He is seeking a hattrick when he steps onto the turf at York on Thursday.

Looking back at his progressive campaign as a 2-year-old there was a Group 1 victory in there over in France at Saint-Cloud.

El Bodegon took that top-level win comfortably as well ahead of Stone Age. For reference that rival can currently be found leading the ante-post Derby 2022 odds.

For this one El Bodegon is 10/3 and in with a big chance* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on May 11th 2022 at 888Sport).

He’s positive and bold and there’s just no one in this field that can match his form. The only question mark is that this will be his reappearance.

ROYAL PATRONAGE
11/2

Desert Crown on the up

DESERT CROWN is currently near the front of the Derby betting market for 2022, so warrants respect here.

He enters for a yard that has won the Dante six times before, so is well worth a look.

The Nathaniel colt won his debut impressively at Nottingham last autumn. That’s the only racetrack appearance that he has had.

Desert Crown powered his way clear of the field to land that one and looks physically very strong.

Desert Crown is currently 11/4 in the Dante betting odds* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on May 11th 2022 at 888Sport).

Granted his debut came against not the strongest of fields, but huge things are expected of him.

Magisterial is full of promise

Another exciting younger in this field is MAGISTERIAL who is on a hattrick bid after winning his reappearance

That reappearance was at Leicester, defying a penalty for his Haydock 1m win in October.

Magisterial took the victory at Leicester by one and a half lengths.

The form of that race hasn’t read too great from him since.

But the son of Frankel still warrants plenty of respect here because there has to be more progress to come from him.

Magisterial is at 7/2 and enters for a winning yard* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on May 11th 2022 at 888Sport).

Royal Patronage could upset the field

There is a lot to like about the front-running ROYAL PATRONAGE who is likely going to give a very good account of himself.

As a juvenile, he rattled off a quick-fire hattrick in 1m contests.

One of those was a victory here at York in the Acomb, delivering the win in impressive style.

On his bid for a four-timer Royal Patronage went to the Futurity at Doncaster and the race didn’t pan out in his favour there.

Royal Patronage has had a reappearance run under his belt.

He ran true to form in the 2000 Guineas in which he took 8th.

He will only be better for that experience and this distance looks like it will suit him just fine.

There is a quote of 11/2 on Royal Patronage in Dante Stakes racing odds for Thursday* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on May 11th 2022 at 888Sport).

Bluegrass not to be dismissed

There was nice progress made by BLUEGRASS as a juvenile, which included one win in three efforts.

Bluegrass is trained by Aiden O’Brien who has enjoyed some massive recent success in the Derby Trials.

So that makes Bluegrass interesting, although the colt clearly needs another big step forward.

He should strip fitter for a reappearance in a Group 3 at Leopardstown 40 days ago.

Bluegrass looked as if he needs this distance and is at 6/1 for the Dante odds* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on May 11th 2022 at 888Sport).

The rest of the runners in Dante Stakes betting

DARK MOON RISING may struggle to get any kind of challenge together in this one. He did win a class 2 on his reappearance and was fourth in a follow up in a Listed contest. Dark Moon rising would be a surprise winner of this.

KINGMAX kicked off the new season with a dominant victory at Kempton in March. There was even better to follow with a fourth place at the Craven. Any further improvement could see him challenge for a place.

MASEKELA was a runner up in a Listed effort at Newmarket on his reappearance run a month ago. Here’s a fair youngster and did go well at last year’s Superlative before winning at Newbury on his follow up. His form hasn’t been too exciting since, however.

WHITE WOLF landed a win on his debut at Southwell a couple of weeks ago in a novice run over a 1m trip. He looked a good prospect but this clearly demands a whole lot more.

Predictions & Tips for Dante Stakes Racing Odds

The first name on the shortlist for the Dante Stakes tips is ROYAL PATRONAGE at 11/2* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on May 11th 2022 at 888Sport).

He took the Acomb in fine fashion at York as a juvenile and should kick on from a credible 2000 Guineas effort.

EL BODEGON is hard to ignore in this one after such a fantastically progressive juvenile campaign.

He is the 10/3 current favourite for a reason and makes it on the Dante Tips list* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on May 11th 2022 at 888Sport).

The final secession is going to be MAGISTERIAL who is seeking a hattrick from a quote of 7/2* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on May 11th 2022 at 888Sport).

The form from his latest win did receive a little blow recently, but he has shown plenty of promise still and arrives for a stable that has won the Dante three times in the last six editions.
