Deauville Racing Odds and Prediction June 1 – History is made as French Guineas are run on a Monday

Tropbeau can land first fillies' Classic of the year

Horse Racing Betting

Racing’s hand has rather been forced with regard to this year’s Classics.
France is a few weeks ahead of the UK and Ireland with regard to easing lockdown, though the Paris tracks are back under quarantine which is why the French 2000 Guineas (Emirates Poule d’Essai des Poulains) and French 1000 Guineas (Emirates Poule d’Essai des Pouliches) are being staged this Monday on the straight mile at Deauville in Normandy, a region less affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Emirates Poule d’Essai des Poulains Predictions

Andre Fabre runs three in the French version of 2000 Guineas.
Alson is having a first run for the trainer but was beaten under a length by new stablemate Victor Ludorum in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp back in October when Ecrivain finished fifth and Kenway finished last of the seven runners.
Vincent Cheminaud’s mount is 9/2 with Ladbrokes but it is no surprise that the Godolphin-owned colt is 2/1 favourite with the same firm, even though he was surprisingly beaten by both The Summit (9/1 with Paddy Power) and Ecrivain (a best 7/2) in his trial in the Prix de Fontainebleau.
CELESTIN probably has a bit to prove in Group 1 company and was surprisingly beaten by Reshabar (a best 50/1) in his trial at Chantilly.
But Stephane Paquier’s mount was far too keen in the early stages and would have appreciated an easier surface. He is now race-fit and could be massively overpriced at 40/1 with Paddy Power with each-way betting available as long as all stand their ground.

Emirates Poule d’Essai des Poulains Current Best Odds

Victor Ludorum 2/1
Ecrivain 7/2
Alson 9/2
The Summit and Arapaho 9/1
Shinning Ocean and Kenway 22/1
Celestin 40/1
Reshabar 50/1

Emirates Poule d’Essai des Pouliches Predictions

TROPBEAU (a best 7/4) eventually justified favouritism in the Group 3 Prix de la Grotte at Longchamp on her reappearance, confirming that last year’s Cheveley Park Stakes third had trained on.
The Showcasing filly beat Dream And Do (who has place claims again), Tickle Me Green and Ellerslie Lace at the Paris track and she’ll take all the beating in the first fillies’ Classic of the year if Mickael Barzalona can harness his mount’s basic speed on the straight mile at Deauville.
The so-far unbeaten Simeen (5/1 with Ladbrokes) will be a danger if there is a fast pace as she has undoubted staying qualities which she showed when making a winning reappearance at Chantilly.
Speak Of The Devil could be interesting at bigger odds (20/1 on Betfair) if she gets the run of the race.
