6/5 FAV in Earl Of Sefton Stakes – 15:00 Newmarket Racing Odds

The 6/5 favourite in Earl Of Sefton Stakes odds 2022 is MASTER OF THE SEAS* (odds recorded at 20:41 GMT on April 11th, 2022 at Coral).

He naturally looks like posing a big threat in the contest.

Master Of The Seas makes his return to action after a long break of about six months.

During last year’s positive campaign, Master Of The Seas was only narrowly beaten in the 2000 Guineas.

He was sent to the Breeders’ Cup Mile in November.

But he was upset in the stalls and had to get withdrawn before having a chance to run.

That leaves his final race of last season as a lowly finish in a superbly strong Queen Elizabeth II at Ascot, a race in which Master Of The Seas never settled.

Master Of The Seas should be more focus and mature now on his return. He had a gelding op during his break.

That could be the difference-maker to one that should really push on for a top yard this season.

MEGALLAN
9/2

Coral

Megallan warrants plenty of respect

The one who could give the favourite the most to think about on Tuesday is MEGALLAN who looks well suited to this test.

Megallan is the 9/2 second-favourite in Earl Of Sefton racing odds* (odds recorded at 20:41 GMT on April 11th, 2022 at Coral).

There were a couple of victories for Megallan last term.

The pick of those scores coming at the Sovereign Stakes at Salisbury.

Another that has huge potential now as a 4-year-old and should be right in the thick of things here. He looks like a very smart colt.

Catch Twenty Two piques interest

Coming over from South Africa on his first appearance for a new yard over here is CATCH TWENTYTWO.

He was a runner up in the Champions Cup at Greyville on his last run, which was last summer.

That was a top tier race.

So Catch TwentyTwo has proven ability and piques plenty of interest with his place in this one.

This will be his season debut as well as him turning out for his new yard.

From a quote of 11/1, he is one to keep an eye on* (odds recorded at 20:41 GMT on April 11th, 2022 at Coral).

Can Bell Rock add to the course record?

BELL ROCK is a former course and distance winner which gives him some claims as he makes his reappearance.

That course and distance win did happen for Bell Rock on last seasons’ reappearance run.

So he has form from fresh.

Looking at his career so far, the 6-year-old perhaps hasn’t shown the ability or at least potentially ability that some of these rivals have.

But by the same token, he can’t be dismissed with his solid tracker record here at Newmarket.

Bell Rock is a 7/1 contender* (odds recorded at 20:41 GMT on April 11th, 2022 at Coral).

Can Father Of Jazz find turf form?

FATHER OF JAZZ had a reappearance run for this campaign, which gives him an edge of match sharpness.

That was a fourth-place finish in a Listed effort at Kempton a couple of weeks ago.

Will that help his claims on Tuesday?

Last season he did spend time on the turf, but it wasn’t anywhere near as good as his AW efforts.

In last year’s Winter Derby Father Of Jazz did well.

Father Of Jazz is a quote of 20/1 but needs to find turf form* (odds recorded at 20:41 GMT on April 11th, 2022 at Coral).

Chichester to up his game?

CHICHESTER is not a total forlorn hope in this contest but he will need to prove better form.

He was tried in a Listed effort at Kempton a couple of weeks ago.

Chichester put in a credible run there to take fourth.

He will need a lot more than that to trouble some of the big rivals that he faces on Tuesday.

Still, potentially not out of a place claim if he gets up from 22/1* (odds recorded at 20:41 GMT on April 11th, 2022 at Coral).

Brunch not a total loss

Even though he is a longer quote in the Earl Of Sefton Stakes 2022, BRUNCH isn’t to be written off.

He was a winner last season and he is usually game and competitive.

There was an eighth-place finish for him in Lincoln on his latest run.

That was his first run after a break and went fairly well.

The 5-year-old does have the ability and match sharpness will help.

Like some of these others, Brunch will need a career-best for win purposes.

However, he’s not to be totally overlooked from 18/1* (odds recorded at 20:41 GMT on April 11th, 2022 at Coral).

Predictions & Tips for Earl Of Sefton Stakes Racing Odds

This is quite a competitive renewal of this fixture, and for us, MEGALLAN could be the way to go.

He is a quote of 9/4 to the land the score* (odds recorded at 20:41 GMT on April 11th, 2022 at Coral).

There is a lot to like about the form that he posted last season and can really take that forward as a 4-year-old.

MASTER OF THE SEAS is naturally on the shortlist.

He looks like the standard-setter from 6/5* (odds recorded at 20:41 GMT on April 11th, 2022 at Coral).

He should be right about there, but he has shown a couple of times before that his temperament can be called into question.

The final one for the shortlist is CATCH TWENTYTWO who makes his stable debut on Tuesday.

A top-level place in South Africa shows some good ability and is worth a look from 11/1* (odds recorded at 20:41 GMT on April 11th, 2022 at Coral).
