Luxembourg Even Money FAV in Futurity Trophy Stakes Racing Odds

LUXEMBOURG is the one to beat at Doncaster on Saturday in the Futurity as he is the even-money favourite* (odds recorded at 19:15 GMT on October 22nd, 2021 at 888Sport).

Few are going to argue his position in this one after romping to a classy victory at the Curragh last month.

That was in the Group 2 Beresford and it moved Luxembourg on to two wins from two.

He looks extremely good and was decisive in getting that latest win.

But the question is whether he can be taken on? Luxembourg wasn’t up against too much hot opposition at the Curragh if we are picking at things.

Royal Patronage
9/2

Can Royal Patronage get there?

ROYAL PATRONAGE is in top form at the moment as well. The win in the Acomb Stakes puts him right in the frame.

That victory was part of a hat trick that was just secured.

That was completed in the Royal Lodge at Newmarket on his latest.

The softer ground could be a question mark, but without question, Royal Patronage has gotten better and better with each run.

He doesn’t look as if he is going to go down without a very good fight and is a 9/2 contender* (odds recorded at 19:15 GMT on October 22nd, 2021 at 888Sport).

Bayside Boy not without a chance

Another with the form that warrants some big respect is BAYSIDE BOY who could go well at Doncaster on the weekend.

He was the winner of the Champagne Stakes here at the venue, so he does have that nice piece from behind him.

There was a very credible third-place finish for Bayside Boy in a hotly contested Dewhurst at Newmarket two weeks ago.

Bayside Boy looks as if he has the 1m trip in him and he could be a big player from 4/1* (odds recorded at 19:15 GMT on October 22nd, 2021 at 888Sport).

Imperial Fighter to give a good account

Although he may need a couple of these to falter, there should be a good effort to come from IMPERIAL FIGHTER.

He opened his account with a score at Goodwood on his debut on a 7f trip in July. There was even better from him on his latest run.

On being moved up to Group 3 the last twice, Imperial Fighter has run with great credit, taking a runner up spot in both.

The latest of those was at Newmarket on a 1m trip a fortnight ago. He looks to be in very good shape at the moment.

Imperial Fighter is a quote of 10/1 to land the win* (odds recorded at 19:15 GMT on October 22nd, 2021 at 888Sport).

Does Sissoko have place claims?

In terms of looking for those who could raise a threat of place claims, SISSOKO could be in the mix.

He wasn’t that impressive on his debut at the Curragh, but then bolted up to score a very good maiden there on his second appearance.

Sissoko has been shoved heavily in class for this one. It’s also a short turnaround having run just 9 days ago.

Sissoko is a 17/2 lively outsider* (odds recorded at 19:15 GMT on October 22nd, 2021 at 888Sport).

Rest of the runners

HANNIBAL BARCA had a good finish at Ascot, claiming a third-place finish. Then he scored with plenty in hand on a follow up in a 7f Salary Novice. More will be needed to get his nose in front at Doncaster on Saturday.

BULLET FORCE brings a little more experience to the table. But it’s been just one win in five for him. A big jump of improvement is going to be needed from him to feature, most likely.

MCTIGUE picked up a win at Leopardstown on his second start. That was a score in a maiden, but this is on a whole different level. A positive for Mctigue is that he comes from last year’s winning yard.

Predictions & Tips for Futurity Trophy Stakes Racing Odds

ROYAL PATRONAGE could be the value pick at a quote of 9/2 for Futurity Trophy Stakes betting* (odds recorded at 19:15 GMT on October 22nd, 2021 at 888Sport).

He has come up big in the Acomb and the Royal Lodge and could easily be a big player on Saturday to get the better of the favourite.

LUXEMBOURG brings some obvious claims after that recent Group 2 success but that perhaps wasn’t the strongest of races.

The final selection for the shortlist is BAYSIDE BOY as he has winning form at Doncaster having collected the Champagne Stakes at the St Leger meeting.
