The will be 40 horses lining up at the Grand National on the weekend at Aintree. This is a tremendous spectacle as the field takes on the challenge of 4 miles 514 yards and 30 fences. The race is ran over two laps of sixteen fences, with the first fourteen being jumped twice.
This is the longest national hunt race in Great Britain. It is a test of stamina for both jockey and horse.
