Hypothetical impressed on his sole start at Chelmsford in December and John Gosden clearly has no qualms about plunging the Lope De Vega colt in at the deep end on his reappearance but you are putting a lot of trust in the trainer’s judgement at only a best 4/1. However, it’s worth noting that Gosden has provided the winner of this contest four times in the last 10 years.

Can we place Max faith in Beckett Derby hope?

MAX VEGA is probably unlucky not to arrive unbeaten at Kempton.
He was just beaten on his debut at Salisbury before landing the odds at Pontefract. He was then a fairly comfortable winner of Group 3 Zetland Stakes at Newmarket so is proven at this level.
His action suggests he will be very much at home on the all-weather so the 10/3 with Betvictor is definitely worth a second look as he looks to secure his place in next month’s Epsom Derby.

Tango puts stamina to the test

Berlin Tango has yet to race beyond a mile but was second at Kempton in March and there is enough in his pedigree to suggest he will stay so he might repay each-way support at the general 14/1 if some of the market principals come up short.
