Kempton 14:45 Racing Odds and Predictions June 3 – Max Vega looks interesting at 10/3 with Betvictor

Take it to the Max at Kempton

Horse Racing Betting

The Unibet Classic Trial Stakes is normally run at Sandown but it will be a case of ‘needs must’ for racing for a number of weeks so the Group 3 contest, an informative Derby trial in years gone by, will instead be run on the Polytrack at Kempton, though that hasn’t affected the quality with a bigger field than normal lined up.

Classic Trial Stakes Predictions

Pride seeks to put the boys in their place

William Haggas has been wholesome in his praise of Born With Pride since his filly defied expectations to land a Listed race at Newmarket last November.
That was on heavy going so it’s anybody’s guess how she will handle the much quicker Polytrack surface at Kempton. She is being aimed at the Oaks but this is the acid test and bookmakers are giving little away at the general 9/4 with fillies having a dismal record in the race.

Once-raced colt looks to enhance trainer’s brilliant race record

Hypothetical impressed on his sole start at Chelmsford in December and John Gosden clearly has no qualms about plunging the Lope De Vega colt in at the deep end on his reappearance but you are putting a lot of trust in the trainer’s judgement at only a best 4/1. However, it’s worth noting that Gosden has provided the winner of this contest four times in the last 10 years.

Can we place Max faith in Beckett Derby hope?

MAX VEGA is probably unlucky not to arrive unbeaten at Kempton.
He was just beaten on his debut at Salisbury before landing the odds at Pontefract. He was then a fairly comfortable winner of Group 3 Zetland Stakes at Newmarket so is proven at this level.
His action suggests he will be very much at home on the all-weather so the 10/3 with Betvictor is definitely worth a second look as he looks to secure his place in next month’s Epsom Derby.

Tango puts stamina to the test

Berlin Tango has yet to race beyond a mile but was second at Kempton in March and there is enough in his pedigree to suggest he will stay so he might repay each-way support at the general 14/1 if some of the market principals come up short.
