Everlanes had the measure of Outofthisworld (13/2) when the latter fell at the second-last at Taunton.
Keiran Burke’s mare was having only her second run over fences when successful in that race and has only had 11 career starts in total so it will be a surprise if there isn’t more to come and she is a best 5/2.
Dame in the handicapper’s grip at present?
Dame du Soir (a general 4/1) beat subsequent winner Colorado Roc at Hereford at the start of the year but was a shade disappointing when only third on a handicap at Sedgefield last time.
She’s gone up a further pound since so improvement will be needed if she is to win this, though she is a previous course winner.
Wave fancied to recoup losses
Quick Wave was well supported at Warwick in November but, despite finishing a close second, she spoiled her chance by jumping right. That shouldn’t be a problem at right-handed Leicester and the Venetia Williams-trained French import warrants another chance with cheekpieces fitted to help with her steering.
The seven-year-old, who likes soft ground, is a best 5/2 with Betvictor.

Everlanes is almost certainly capable of improving on her bare form to date and she appears to have the beating of Outofthisworld.
Dame du Soir would be a threat to all if bouncing back from a below-par run at Sedgefield while Got Away can’t be ignored having won the race running off the same handicap mark 12 months ago.
But QUICK WAVE can finally get her head in front on her favoured surface if the headgear has the desired effect as she’s not badly handicapped on the pick of her form in France.
