UEFA Champions League Final betting odds are now in play as we have an all-English final to look forward to.

Manchester City and Chelsea will meet in Istanbul on May 29th, 2021 to contest the Final.

The Citizens are the current favourites to pick up the title for the first time.

But the vastly improved Chelsea, as they showed in the recent FA Cup semi-final against City, are not going to be a pushover.

The Londoners are the club with the greater history behind them at this stage of the competition.

Impressive semi-final performances for both

Manchester City were the first to book their place in the final of this season’s Champions League.

They did that with an excellent home performance of the second leg of their contest against the dangerous PSG.

Some defensive organisation and strengths got them there, City doing a brilliant job of counter-attacking on the night to secure a 3-1 aggregate win.

Will boss Pep Guardiola, a former title winner, get his hands on the famous trophy once again and lead City to their first Champions League title?

The Citizens are a quote of 10/11 for the win in Istanbul in Champions League final betting odds* (odds record at 00:37 GMT on May 6th, 2021 at William Hill).

Chelsea were equally good in their semi-final tie against Real Madrid.

The Blues controlled both legs of the contest very well and secured a 2-0 return home leg win after a 1-1 draw in Spain.

Throughout the tie, Chelsea continued to cut Real Madrid to shreds but were extremely wasteful over the two legs in front of the goal.

But the job got done and the Blues will line up for their second Champions League title.

To get it, they are going to have to defy those 3/1 underdog UEFA Champions League Final betting odds* (odds record at 00:37 GMT on May 6th, 2021 at William Hill).

Manchester City FAV for UEFA Champions League Final Betting

The Citizens are in the final for the first time in their history. Their semi final over PSG made them the 42nd team to reach the European Cup final.

Winning the competition is the club’s ultimate goal and it could be a huge season for them.

City are on the brink of the Premier League title, have already secured the EFL Cup and would earn a stunning treble with a win in Istanbul.

Boss Pep Guardiola has a rich history in the competition. He reached the final as a player for Barcelona, winning the crown in 1992.

He also went on to win it twice as a manager with Barcelona.

The first was against Man Utd in 2009 and then again in 2011 against the same opponents. Will he complete a managerial hat trick?

Can Chelsea defy underdog status in UEFA Champions League Final betting?

This is the third Champions League Final for Chelsea. Their first one was against Manchester United at the conclusion of the 2007/08 campaign.

It was pretty much famous for one big moment. The fixture had gone to a penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 draw.

Chelsea had the chance to win the title in the shoot out, with captain John Terry stepping up. But he slipped and the ball hit the post. United recovered to win.

They made their second Champions League Final appearance in 2012. Things again boiled down to a penalty shoot-out for them after a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich had taken the lead in the 83rd minute through Thomas Muller, but then Didier Drogba responded with a brilliant header two minutes from time.

That was Chelsea’s first-ever European Cup title and they became the first team from London to win it as well.

Current Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is the first man to lead two different clubs to successive UEFA Champions League finals having guided PSG to the showcase match last season.

All-English Finals

This is the third time that we are looking at UEFA Champions League Final betting that is an all-English affair.

The first was the aforementioned duel between Chelsea and Man Utd in 2008. The second was just two years ago when Liverpool eased to a 2-0 success over Tottenham.

Man City v Chelsea Head To Head

Does the head to head tell us much for UEFA Champions League Final betting? Well, there has been just one previous European meeting between them.

That was in the 1970/71 European Cup Winners’ Cup Semi Finals. Chelsea claimed a 1-0 win in both legs of the tie.

Chelsea and Man City met in his season’s FA Cup semi-final and Chelsea produced a 1-0 win on the day at Wembley.

Will the Blue steal the show again, or will Guardiola steer City into the history books?
