Today’s horse racing tips heads into some calmer waters after such a brilliant couple of days at Epsom.

It is Goodwood and Perth the venues which are in focus for Sunday’s racing.

The pick of the day’s racing is the Perth Gold Cup Handicap Chase.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

The first horse racing tip for Sunday is POTTERMAN at 11/2* (betting odds recorded 23:38 GMT on June 5th 2021 at William Hill).

He was awarded the bet365 Gold Cup despite finishing second on the track, so that’s a big win claimed.

There has only been a 1lb rise from that effort 43 days ago at Sandown. So Alan King’s 8 year old surely has to have a say in this one.

He had the main threat in this, EL PRESENTE behind him in that contest as well.

The latter selection gets the cheek pieces on for the first time and does bring claims to the table. He’s bound to go well again too.

Another to consider for the shortlist could be FORGOT TO ASK who is sitting on a hattrick.

He has to find more now having been bumped up 8lb after a success at Market Rasen a month ago. Place claims are still there.

We are happy to take a longer priced option of 12/1 shot HARRISON’S WAY for this handicap at Perth* (betting odds recorded 23:38 GMT on June 5th 2021 at William Hill).

She picked up her form to claim a very good fourth place finish at Hexham three weeks ago.

Harrison’s Way is a former bumper winner but that was the first real sign of offering something over the hurdles last time out.

She can’t be ruled out of this and makes for a decent each way punt. There will be plenty of focus on WAKOOL though.

He has been carrying good form, even in defence before a course and distance win a month ago. Wakool comes up 5lb for that and is bound to be right in the frame.

This is a sellers event and BLACK HILL STORM rates well at 13/2* (betting odds recorded 23:38 GMT on June 5th 2021 at William Hill).

He picked up a win at Redcar on his latest run, which really puts him in the frame. It was in similar company to this.

That saw Black Hill Storm get off the mark at the fourth time of asking and we expected him to be back in the frame.

ACCACIA isn’t without hope in this one either.

Another of the big front runners could be WEE LOCH LASS who picked up a score in a maiden at Carlisle 10 days ago, just hanging in there.

She takes a drop in grade and is a principal threat.

We are going straight to CALL MY BLUFF at 13/2* (betting odds recorded 23:38 GMT on June 5th 2021 at William Hill).

He picked up a win 19 days ago at Nottingham on a 2m trip in soft conditions. That was a very good return to form for him.

AS a 3 year old Call My Bluff picked up a hattrick last season and the first of those wins in the sequence was at course and distance.

So now he has proven a return to form, he easily should be a threat in this one.

EAST ASIA also is highly recommended for this after a course and distance score last month.

But there’s a hefty 7lb rise that he has to deal with in this one. He’s been a much improved runner for his new yard.

GLOBAL WARNING really should make the most of this opportunity to get off the mark on turf. He has been going well for his stable.

The last time he was seen was at Ascot when he took a fourth place finish a month ago in a competitive race.

This is much calmer waters for him, so we think he has some very strong claims. A 3lb claimer will help as well.

This is the best distance for Global Warning and he should be able to make it count now.

The biggest threat is likely to be the consistent THE LAMPLIGHTER who has a good track record and is not likely to be far away.

She could be the pick of the bunch, as she was an expensive purchase. The daughter of Galileo should have something to offer here.

Her one run was a fourth place finish at Wolverhampton. In that she was ahead of the fourth place finisher from this year’s Oaks.

So that could be a notable piece of form from her. We hould be seeing plenty of improvement from her on Sunday.

The other big player is probably going to be TIGER BEETLE. He took a step forward in getting into the places in a competitive Nottingham novice event last time out.
