The Nassau Stakes tips take centre stage on Thursday, coming from the lone Group 1 fixture of the day.

This is a contest for Fillies and Mares and this year’s renewal sees the impressive NASHWA leading the way in the betting market.

But there is plenty of quality behind her waiting to pounce.

For our Nassau Stakes tips & odds preview 2022, our experts look at the key contenders in the hunt for success on Thursday.

Nashwa 5/6 FAV in Nassau Stakes Racing Odds

NASHWA is the front runner at 5/6 in Nassau Stakes odds for the 2022 renewal* (odds recorded at 21:02 GMT on July 27th, 2022 at Coral).

There is no surprise there as it has been a massively progressive season for the daughter of Frankel.

Nashwa made an eye-catching reappearance when she smashed a field at Haydock to pieces. A listed win at Newbury followed that.

She delivered more cracking form with a place finish in the Oaks before scoring a Group 1 in France.

That longer distance at Epsom tripped her up a little.

That latest victory for her, in the Prix de Diane at Chantilly, was a narrow one. But it proved that she can thrive at the top level.

Nashwa just looks like an ideal fit for the Nassau Stakes. If she is anywhere near her best then she is probably going to extend her unbeaten record at this distance.

Ville De Grace
12/1

Coral

Ville De Grace can get in the mix

VILLE DE GRACE is well worth a look to get in the places from a quote of 12/1* (odds recorded at 21:02 GMT on July 27th, 2022 at Coral).

Last autumn she was coming on very strongly. She won her final two efforts last term.

One of those was a victory in the Pride Stakes at Newmarket in which she got the better of Lilac Road.

Ville De Grace was only narrowly beaten by Dreamloper in the Dahlia Stakes on her reappearance run.

A fourth place in the Middleton Stakes at York followed. But that looked to have come too soon for her after the Middleton.

Her top yard has smartly kept her back for the last couple of months to refresh her. Ville De Grace has good claims.

Lilac Road brings winning form

There was a good victory by LILAC ROAD last time out when she scored at York Group 2.

She did a lot of good work to get there in that one, as the race didn’t particularly pan out in her favour.

So Lilac Road has claims on Thursday at 6/1* (odds recorded at 21:02 GMT on July 27th, 2022 at Coral).

It’s been two wins in her last four runs now.

Sandwiched between those two victories as a runner-up Ville De Grace at Newmarket, and a fifth place at the same venue in the Dahlia Stakes.

But Lilac Road did look an improved model at York last time out, and any repeat should get her close.

Nassau Stakes Last 10 Winners

Year Winner Odds Jockey Trainer
2022 Lady Bowthorpe 10/3 Kieren Shoemark William Jarvis
2020 Fancy Blue 11/4 Ryan Moore Donnacha Aiden O’Brien
2019 Deirdre 20/1 Oisin Murphy Mitsuru Hashida
2018 Wild Illusion 4/1 William Buick Charlie Appleby
2017 Winter 10/11F Ryan Moore A P O’Brien
2016 Minding 1/5F Ryan Moore A P O’Brien
2015 Legatissimo 2/1F Wayne Lordan David Wachman
2014 Sultanina 11/2 William Buick John Gosden
2013 Winsili 20/1 William Buick John Gosden
2012 The Fugue 11/4 Richard Hughes John Gosden

Dreamloper seeks a return to winning ways

DREAMLOPER is another of the main threats to the favourite at 6/1* (odds recorded at 21:02 GMT on July 27th, 2022 at Coral).

She was sitting on a hattrick chance when she went to the Pretty Polly at the Curragh a month ago.

Being moved up to the 10f trip there, Dreamloper didn’t look as comfortable as connections would have hoped.

Earlier this season Dreamloper scored the Dahlia Stakes on her reappearance run just ahead of Ville De Grace.

Dreamloper then went to the Group 1 Prix d’Ispahan at Longchamp and delivered the score.

It is really whether or not she can deliver at this distance now, after pulling too hard at the Curragh last time out.

Concert Hall not without a chance

Place claims are decent for CONCERT HALL who is likely to at least give another good account of herself.

For win purposes, she needs more than her form suggests she has in her at the moment.

But she opened the season with a narrow score in a listed victory at Navan.

Concert Hall has been highly trained since that win. She was last seen three weeks ago taking fourth in the Belmont Oaks.

The cheek pieces go on for the first time and under Ryan Moore, she’s not to be totally dismissed.

There is a current quote of 9/1 on Concert Hall scoring the victory* (odds recorded at 21:02 GMT on July 27th, 2022 at Coral).

the rest of the runners

ARISTIA was a runner-up to Lilac Road in the Middleton Stakes at York on her reappearance run. She didn’t take any of that form forward when appearing in a listed effort at Royal Ascot on her follow-up.

FONTEYN got off the mark in a listed event at York in May on her latest run. There has been good progressive form from her. This just looks far too big of a challenge coming up in class and trip right now.

ONE FOR BOBBY pleased connections by winning her first two outings. That fell apart when she was sent to a listed contest at Naas. But to her credit, One For Bobby showed a good attitude on her follow-up to take a place in a Group 2.

ROGUE MILLENNIUM also won her first two starts and has done well twice in defeat since then. There was a good midfield finish in the Oaks and then a good second-place finish in a Group 3 at Newcastle.

Predictions & Tips for Nassau Stakes Racing Odds

Our Nassau Stakes tip are going straight to the top for the backing of NASHWA at 5/6* (odds recorded at 21:02 GMT on July 27th, 2022 at Coral).

She has looked highly impressive and with Group 1 success under her belt, we see her doing enough to hold off the competition.

VILLE DE GRACE is well worth a look from a quote of 12/1 in Nassau Stakes Tips* (odds recorded at 21:02 GMT on July 27th, 2022 at Coral).

She has turned out some good performances and is more than capable of getting in the thick of it.

The appeal of the Ryan Moore/Aiden O’Brien partnership on CONCERT HALL is a little too much to pass on.

Moore has ridden three of the last six winners in Nassau, a couple of those for O’Brien. Concert Hall has been running with credit at the top level this season and warrants massive respect from 9/1* (odds recorded at 21:02 GMT on July 27th, 2022 at Coral).
