PGA Tour Championship Golf Betting Info
There is a competitive field out in Florida this week on the PGA Tour. There is a clutch of quality players at the head of the field, which is going to offer some great value for your golf betting this week. There was non stop action all the way last week at the WGC Cadillac at the TPC Blue Monster. Finding the fairways and the greens this week should be a lot easier task for all involved than it was last week. The fairways are tree lined and needs some very steady control.

PGA Tour Championship Golf Betting Favourite
Some big players in the field and Australia’s Adam Scott is heading the market as favourite at a price of 12/1 with online bookmaker Bet365. He comes into Tampa this week on the back of a good performance at the WGC Cadillac last week, where he was building momentum. He just got better and better as the weekend went on to card a final round of 64 and take a share of third. That could be some good reason to back him this week. Should be trending. That has been two top tens in his three starts this season so decent value on him, even as favourite at 12/1. Should be a solid selection for a top ten finish as well as another option as coverage. Driving was superb last week and should be a big factor here.

Other Contenders
Luke Donald landed well down the field at the WGC Cadillac last week yet he is the defending champion here. His putter was on fire in Tampa last season and his accuracy in closing in on the holes around the course was pretty immaculate. Course suits his style and as we haven’t really seen the best of him on the PGA Tour this season, he should step up soon. He hasn’t landed a top ten finish yet this season on the Tour, but the fact that his performance was so strong here in Tampa last season, can’t be totally ignored. Not sure if he’s on top of his game enough at the moment for the win, but again may be worth considering for a top ten option.

Sergio Garcia is trending well and has taken some heavy backing for the Tampa Bay Championship. He landed a share of third at the WGC Cadillac last week alongside Adam Scott. That was the twelfth consecutive top 25 finish for Garcia, which is an impressive run. He can usually be relied upon to hit the fairways and greens with enough consistency to keep him in the hunt. Was brilliant with the irons at TPC Blue Monster last week, and has taken on the Copperhead in Tampa Bay before, taking two top twenty finishes in his last two outings there. He really doesn’t look as if he is that far away from a big win. The short game of Garcia, along with that of Donald could get them well in contention.

Webb Simpson will have a proven track record at the course to be able to rely on. In the last three years at the tournament, Simpson has landed three top fifteen finishes in a row. His best effort was a solo second back in 2011. Had a solid performance at the WGC Cadillac last week with a top twenty finish. Has been busy this season and has two top ten finishes under his belt. Only one missed cut so far from him, no reason why he shouldn’t be around the top ten at Tampa.

There could be some great value in taking a look at Jason Dufner this week. He had the best result of the season at the WGC Cadillac last week with a share of twelfth. He got his short game working well last week and was immense on the par fours. Has made the cut at Copperhead in each of his last four appearances there, including a tie for tenth last season. Has been guilty of going under the radar a lot this season, but his natural tee to green management will be perfectly suited for Copperhead and could well contend.
