It has been only 13 days since the 1000 Guineas so this year’s Coronation Stakes hasn’t attracted the usual quota of fillies who ran in the Newmarket Classic.
However, there are a couple as well as the third in the Irish 1000 Guineas and a top filly from the USA so it is still a quality line-up.

The Coronation Stakes is a 1m Group 1 contest for three-year-old fillies only.
It is run on the Round Course at Ascot and has been since 1840. It’s name refers the coronation of Queen Victoria and it’s been a Group 1 races since 1988.

Coronation Stakes Predictions

ALPINE STAR is a fascinating runner in the Coronation Stakes for Jessica Harrington.
She won the Group 2 Debutante Stakes over 7f last year at the Curragh on yielding ground and gave every impression that a mile would suit.
Last week’s Irish 1000 Guineas third So Wonderful was only fourth that day and this year’s 1000 Guineas winner Love was fifth so the form is stacking up and Frankie Dettori’s mount looks the value in the race at 9/2 with 10Bet, despite the lack of a recent run.
Only a neck separated Cloak Of Spirits (13/2 with Ladbrokes) and Quadritaleral in the 1000 Guineas behind easy winner Love.
Bookmakers expect Roger Charlton’s filly, winner of the Fillies’ Mile last year, to reverse the placings at Royal Ascot but she gives the impression she is not an easy ride and is only a best 5/2 with Bet365.
Sharing (13/2 with Betvictor) has won four of her five races in the States, including the Breeders’ Cup Turf Juvenlie Fillies, but she will never have encountered ground this soft.
Run Wild (a general 9/2) won the Pretty Polly at Newmarket in a canter but that was over 1m2f and she was left alone out in front. That won’t be the case here with Cloak Of Spirits and Love Locket in the field but she may handle the going better than most.

This Sports Promotion is only redeemable against your first real money Qualifying Bet per race, on the selected/named races.
