The first two days of Royal Ascot betting tips have flown by and now we size up the cards from Day 3 on Thursday.

The big race is the biggest stayers’ fixture around on the flat, the Ascot Gold Cup, which features Kyprios, three-time winner Stradivarius and hopefully Trueshan.

That’s the headline act of the day without any question and it’s a mouthwatering prospect.

Our experts look at that big one as well as make selections for that and all races on Thursday for Royal Ascot betting tips.

About Royal Ascot Betting Tips – Day 3

We have already mentioned the big focus of Royal Ascot betting tips for Thursday, which is the Gold Cup.

That is the only Group 1 fixture of Thursday’s action.

But making up another thrilling day of action there is the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes and Ribblesdale Stakes, along with the Group 3 Hampton Court Stakes to look forward to.

14:10 Norfolk Stakes (Group 2) – Royal Ascot Tips

Race Details: Group 2, 2YO only, 11 declared, 5f

Preview: The Norfolk Stakes is a popular fixture of Royal Ascot and we have a pretty decent lineup of juveniles for this year’s renewal.

THE ANTARCTIC should be right there having won both runs this season. He is on the way up the progress curve with scores at Tipperary and Naas.

The Antarctic is the brother of top sprinter Battaash so the pedigree is there.

WALBANK has a lot to offer as well in this contest as he smashed a 5f field at York last time out.

That was an eye-catching run, easily building on a very promising debut at course and distance.

PILLOW TALK is another that looks ready to come further and very quickly as well.

She looked good on her debut with a runner-up spot, before taking the spoil at York at the listed level.

One final one to consider for the shortlist in this one is BAKEEL who landed a debut score at the course and distance 7 weeks ago.

He was well clear in that one and clearly has more in him.

Ones to watch: Walbank 5/2, The Antarctic 2/1, Pillow Talk 8/1

15:05 King George V Stakes – Royal Ascot Tips

Race Details: Class 2 heritage handicap, 3YO only, 21 declared, 1m 4f

Preview: This is one of the those tricky races to call for Royal Ascot tips with so many involved and so many with reasonable claims.

Let’s start with YASHIN who is seeking a hattrick on Thursday. He showed a great attitude to fight from far back to score at Navan last time out.

The extra trip should suit and the stronger the gallop the more Yashin is likely to be in it.

ISRAR is nicely-bred and could make his presence felt. He still has a bit of greenness to get out but did well to put in a good finish to score a Newbury handicap on his latest run. That’s two wins in four runs from him.

SAVVY KNIGHT has won all three starts so is clearly one to watch in this field. He got his latest win with plenty to spare at Hamilton so commands some respect in this red hot renewal.

We could go on with this list, but we will stop with SECRET STATE who looked in fine fettle scoring at Nottingham last time out.

That completed a double and the runner-up from the fixture has since gone on to frank form for Secret State.

Ones to watch: Secret State 8/1, Yashin 12/1, Savvy Knight 20/1

15:40 Ribblesdale Stakes – Royal Ascot Tips

Race Details: Fillies’ Group 2, 3YO only, 6 declared, 1m 4f

Preview: This is another really hot race for Thursday’s Royal Ascot tips as each of the six declared runners have claims.

SEA SILK ROAD is seeking a hattrick and she has been improving very well. The latest of her wins came after she was pushed up on a trip at Goodwood.

That was a score recorded by Sea Silk Road at the listed level and clearly has more to bring to the table.

MAGICAL LAGOON should be suited to the longer trip that is ahead of her on Thursday. In her first run as a 3-year-old, she landed a runner-up spot at Navan.

But she was only narrowly touched off in that one and the form from that race has since worked out well for her. She’s definitely on the shortlist.

So too is LIFE OF DREAMS who has more to offer as well. She found only the brilliant Emily Upjohn too good in the Musidora at York last time out.

That is just her second racetrack appearance and the daughter of Dubawi looks to have a big future ahead of her.

Ones to watch: Magical Lagoon 10/3, Life Of Dreams 10/3, Sea Silk Road 13/8

16:20 Ascot Gold Cup – Royal Ascot Tips

Race Details: Grup 1, 4YO plus, 10 declared, 2m 4f

Preview: Here it is then, the elite flat contest for stayers’ and we have such a great lineup for this year’s renewal.

KYPRIOS has arrived on the scene as potentially the next great stayer. Trainer Aiden O’Brien has won this race seven times before, so Kyprios is in pretty good hands here.

He will be seeking a hattrick on Thursday and the way that he destroyed the field in a contest at Leopardstown last time out was specular.

That was the Group 3 Levmoss and he looks as if he does have this big distance in him. His pedigree suggests that he could.

STRADIVARIUS is back once again after failing to make it four straight Gold Cup successes last year.

He still retains plenty of ability having won a reappearance run at Nottingham, but he was starting to creak a little bit last term.

PRINCESS ZOE has a stack of experience and can really make her presence felt. She’s no mug and has handled big staining trips before.

She ran an absolute screamer when second to Subjectivist in last year’s renewal. Princess Zoe won the Sagaro here in April and is a threat.

We just need to mention TRUESHAN who has established himself at the top of the division.

Trainer Alan King is unlikely to run him if the ground stays the way it is at Good to Firm.

Ones to watch: Kyprios 13/8, Princess Zoe 8/1, Stradivarius 9/4

17:00 Ascot Handicap – Royal Ascot Tips

Race Details: Class 2, 3YO only, 33 declared, 1m (str)

Preview: KING OF TIME has won all three appearances so far and has clocked good times in the process.

There’s a 7lb rise for him on Thursday, but he looks much better than that.

YONANAS has won all three runs so far, but all of those were on the all-weather.

He’s a good solid one and has this trip in him no doubt. He’s a threat if he takes to the turf.

TRANQUIL NIGHT collected a win in April as he put in a stunning finish at Newmarket to take a victory. He has something to offer in this one.

THESEIS is worth a look as he has been churning out some decent runs in defeat. He has been expensive to follow, but he’s still worth considering.

Ones to watch: Tranquil Night 9/1, Yonanas 12/1, King Of Time 9/2

17:35 Hampton Court Stakes – Royal Ascot Tips

Race Details: Group 3, 3YO only, 6 declared 1m 2f

Preview: We have ourselves an interesting renewal of the Hampton Court Stakes on Thursday at Royal Ascot.

CLAYMORE poses a threat although he needs a little bounce back after a poor draw undid him in the French 2000 Guineas last time out.

Before that, he had kicked things off this year with a very good runner-up spot in the Craven Stakes.

MAKSUD kicked things into gear right from the off when he landed a win at Windsor on his debut in April.

He improved that further when he was four at Goodwood in a listed effort on his follow-up. There is more to come from Maksud who looks like a really good prospect.

The final shortlist selection is REACH FOR THE MOON and that’s an obvious one. He should have run in the Derby but had an injury.

He’s back in fine form with a runner-up in a listed effort at Doncaster. As a juvenile Reach For The Moon took the Salario Stakes at Sandown, one of two wins as a 2-year-old.

Ones to watch: Claymore 6/1, Reach For The Moon 8/13, Maksud 9/1

18:10 Buckingham Palace Stakes – Royal Ascot Tips

Race Details: Class 2 handicap, 3YO plus, 32 declared, 7f

Preview: We do have to start near the top of the market for this one and that is MONTASSIB.

He has returned with a bang after missing 2021. It has been two runs and two wins for him this year.

Montassib made a winning return at Wetherby in April and then followed up with a Good handicap, both at 7f. He should be right in it.

TANMAWWY warrants some respect as he is seeking a hattrick. He moves back in up distance for this one, making him a threat.

The latest win for him was two weeks ago at Doncaster and did well to fight for his victory in the latter getting up late.

INVER PARK is bidding for a hattrick as well after coming into such good form and he has plenty more to come by the looks of it.

Victories at Windsor and Hamilton the last twice firmly puts him in the fame and he is still low mileage. The longer trip is interesting for him.

Ones to watch: Montassib 11/2, Tanmawwy 16/1, Inver Park 20/1
