Wordsworth 3/1 FAV in Ascot Sagaro Stakes Racing Odds

Heading up the current Sagaro Stakes racing odds is WORDSWORTH at 3/1* (odds recorded at 21:01 GMT on April 26th 2022 at Unibet).

Coming from a yard that is in form, Wordsworth could well put in a big shift at Ascot.

Wordsworth opened the season with a score, three weeks ago.

That season-opening win happened at Gowran in a conditions race in which he didn’t really have to find top gear.

He claimed the win in a good workmanlike manner.

That was a shorter race than the Sagaro Stakes and the move back up to the 2m trip should suit him strongly.

It would not be a huge surprise if he is lined up for the Ascot Gold Cup later this summer.

Quickthorn
8/1

Quickthorn is not to be discounted

QUICKTHORN is a very interesting pick in Sagaro Stakes tips.

He is currently at 8/1* (odds recorded at 21:01 GMT on April 26th 2022 at Unibet).

Looking back at his form, he claimed the victory at the Duke Of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot last year.

He nearly followed up with a score in the Ebor at York as well. So he could be a big contender.

Quickthorn didn’t go well on its final run of last season.

But he has already had a reappearance run under his belt for this campaign, taking second behind Trueshan at Nottingham three weeks ago.

That positive Listed effort could see Quickthorn bring a strong challenge to the table on Wednesday.

Enemy could be a punter’s friend

ENEMY is one to be respected as well at 9/2 in Sagaro Stakes odds* (odds recorded at 21:01 GMT on April 26th 2022 at Unibet).

There was a victory for him 11 days ago at Musselburgh.

That was in a valuable contest so he brings decent form.

That hinted that he has the staying ability to get into this as well because Enemy took that Musselburgh win with some ease.

Enemy is one to watch on Wednesday and makes it to the shortlist.

Tashkhan has the ability to get in it

After a break of six months, TASHKHAN will be looking to build on a positive final run of last season.

That was a course and distance second place to Trueshan in the Long Distance Cup.

So that November effort saw further improvement from Tashkhan for this year.

He is back anywhere near that kind of form, he should improve further.

The one question mark over his chances is the absence against some match-fit players.

Taskhaan is a quote of 4/1 in Sagaro Stakes odds* (odds recorded at 21:01 GMT on April 26th 2022 at Unibet).

Can Princess Zoe put it together fresh?

The big question over PRINCESS ZOE’s challenge in the Sagaro Stakes is her early-season record.

Her record from fresh is nothing to get too excited about.

Princess Zoe easily has the ability if she is fully wound up for this.

She proved that by taking a second-place finish in last year’s Ascot Gold Cup.

Princess Zoe hasn’t won since 2020 and was well-held on her reappearance a couple of months ago.

That was in Saudi Arabia.

If she can tap into her best there is a chance from 10/3* (odds recorded at 21:01 GMT on April 26th 2022 at Unibet).

Nayef Road needs a revival

The 2020 edition for the Sagaro Stakes was moved to Newcastle and it was won there by NAYEF ROAD.

He did also take a runner up in the Ascot Gold Cup.

2021 wasn’t anywhere near as good for Nayef Road. His efforts from this campaign have yet to hint at any kind of revival.

Nayef Road will need one to get in this, however.

He is a quote of 8/1 in the Sagaro Stakes odds* (odds recorded at 21:01 GMT on April 26th 2022 at Unibet).

Calling The Wind with a lot to find

CALLING THE WIND has a decent record at Ascot.

But he looks as if has too much to find on Wednesday to get into this.

Calling The Wind took a runner up in the Queen Alexandra last year at the Royal Ascot meeting.

He has had a reappearance run under him.

That resulted in a third-place finish at Doncaster.

This is going to be a lot tougher for him to handle and is a long way adrift at 16/1* (odds recorded at 21:01 GMT on April 26th 2022 at Unibet).

Predictions & Tips for Ascot Sagaro Stakes Racing Odds

The first of the shortlisted selections in Sagaro Stakes tips is QUICKTHORN at 8/1* (odds recorded at 21:01 GMT on April 26th 2022 at Unibet).

He should be sharp after having had a positive reappearance run at Nottingham three weeks ago.

ENEMY is worth a look at 9/2 as well* (odds recorded at 21:01 GMT on April 26th 2022 at Unibet).

He looks like a really smart staying prospect and after smashing a field at Musselburgh recently, warrants respect.

The final one to get on the shortlist is the current 3/1 favourite WORDSWORTH* (odds recorded at 21:01 GMT on April 26th 2022 at Unibet).

He looks like a huge player on this 2m trip and smartly arrives after a good effort at Gowran. Wordsworth’s a big player.
