L’Homme Presse 4/5 FAV in Sandown Scilly Isles Novices’ Chase Racing Odds

L’HOMME PRESSE is currently at 4/5 in horse racing betting for the Scilly Isles on Saturday at Sandown* (odds recorded at 18:39 GMT on February 4th, 2022 at Coral).

He has taken to the fences superbly, completing a hattrick a month ago with a Grade 2 score in Cheltenham’s Dipper.

He is just going from strength to strength at the moment.

Now he gets pushed up to the top level for the first time on Saturday.

The hattrick-completing victory for L’Homme Presse at Cheltenham was very impressive.

There looks certain to be more to come from him.

He should have every chance of extending this unbeaten form over the fences on Saturday if he continues in the same mood.

Pic D’Orhy can mount a challenge

There has been a fine season for PIC D’ORHY as well, having impressively moved to the fences.

He has taken two wins in three runs.

It really should have been three from three, because a fall at Newbury on his penultimate denied him another.

Pic D’Orhy was going well over the hurdles before all this and has taken that form forward into chasing.

He opened his season with a Ffos Las handicap chase win before landing a Grade 2 at Ascot in December on his latest.

With that 2-3 record over the fences so far, Pic D’orhy should be able to make his presence felt on Saturday.

He clearly looks the most likely to challenge the favourite.

There is a quote of 15/8 on Pic D’Orhy currently in racing odds* (odds recorded at 18:39 GMT on February 4th, 2022 at Coral).

Fugitif is one to watch

Two wins in three over the fences is what FUGITIF has also managed to produce since switching to the bigger stuff.

The former hurdles winner has taken to the new challenge well enough for trainer Richard Hobson.

The latest win for Fugitif was taken a month ago in a novices’ handicap at Newcastle.

There does appear to be plenty of scope for more, but this is a huge step up in grade for him to deal with.

Still, a run for third place would be full of credit, as he kicks things off at a quote of 20/1 currently* (odds recorded at 18:39 GMT on February 4th, 2022 at Coral).

Mister Coffey to push

Unlikely to get the better of the big two rivals in this contest, MISTER COFFEY could well show strongly enough to battle it out for third.

Mister Coffey has done well enough over the fences this winter.

He has taken a place finish in both efforts in the sphere so far.

It’s been a reasonable start for Nicky Henderson’s 7-year-old, therefore.

This is a bigger ask of his ability after a runner-up in a novices’ handicap at Kempton on his latest, which was in December.

Mister Coffey arrives at a current quote of 17/2 in horse racing betting for the Scilly Isles* (odds recorded at 18:39 GMT on February 4th, 2022 at Coral).

Gladiateur Allen with a lot to find on form

The current 28/1 outsider is GLADIATEUR ALLEN* (odds recorded at 18:39 GMT on February 4th, 2022 at Coral).

He was faller last time out after not taking too well to being moved up to a Grade 2 effort.

That was at Cheltenham, a race won by L’Homme Presse.

That just about sums up the chances of Gladiateur Allen in this one.

He did make a winning chase debut at Exeter in a novices’ event.

However, Gladiateur Allen looks to have some issues to iron out with his jumping form.

The hood goes on for the first time on Saturday.

Predictions & Tips for Scilly Isles Novices’ Chase Racing Odds

This is likely to be all about L’HOMME PRESSE and rightly so because he looks like a major chaser in the making.

It’s been a perfect three from three for him in this sphere.

He looks to have even more to bring to the table as he’s now up at Grade 1.

L’Homme Presse is the current 4/5 odds-on favourite * (odds recorded at 18:39 GMT on February 4th, 2022 at Coral).

He is a little tough to oppose

PIC D’ORHY has taken to the sphere well.

He looks the chief threat to the aforementioned rival, and easily the best pick to fill the forecast spot.

Behind those big two, the most likely to sneak home for third is FUGITIF. He may just have enough to get in there ahead of Mr Coffey.
