We kick off the day at Ascot with a look at HIGHFIELD PRINCESS who should be well in this one.

After three straight runs at Group company, she’s lowered her sights a little for Saturday.

Highfield Princess has run with nothing but credit this season and was fourth in the Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster 24 days ago.

One of her wins this season happened at Royal Ascot in a handicap effort.

She is likely going to go well on a return, even being pushed up an extra 3lb. CHOCOYA comes back to a 7f trip which makes her an interesting pick.

She is on a hattrick after a very strong finish at Chelmsford City on her latest effort.

While she has been crushing it at 6f, if she brings that form forward to this longer distance, Chocoya could be right in this.

PASSIONOVA has to be respected for this contest without question. She is still improving and has won novices at Lingfield and Newmarket this season.

Her latest run was here at Ascot and she went well in a handicap and Passionova should be better for that experience as well. She’s a player.

HURRICANE IVOR is thriving at the moment for Willie Haggas and he is sitting on a hattrick chance on Saturday.

He was pushed up to Group 3 company last time out, which was two weeks ago in the World Trophy Stakes at Newbury.

Hurricane Ivor had the better of Moss Gill in that one, giving him his third win this season.

He looks as if he does still have more to come and warrants big respect in horse racing betting.

SIGNIFICANTLY rates a danger in this one as well. He claimed a course and distance win over Hurricane Ivor back in the summer, albeit by a narrow margin.

DAKOTA GOLD can’t be written out of this either. He has won the last two renewals of this race, so obviously rates as a danger.

The conditions should play to his strength and this may just be the fixture that he needs to get going again.

It hasn’t been the greatest of seasons for him and has been lightly raced. If he can touch on the 2000 sprint form, Dakota Gold could see a revival.

HUKUM has plenty of form on his side to warrant big respect in Ascot racing betting in this one. He narrowly missed a hattrick last time out.

After collecting a couple of Group 3 wins, including the Geoffrey Freer, the was only just edged out on in a shot at the September Stakes at Kempton a month ago.

It’s been three wins this season for HUKUM and it’s just dangerous to write him out of this one. One of those wins was in the Hardwicke over course and distance this summer.

QUICKTHORN is interesting as he is another of the course and distance winners in this field. That particular score happened for him at Royal Ascot.

It’s been three victories in five efforts this season from Quickthorn who was just denied in the Ebor on his penultimate, before picking up a Class 2 score at Salisbury on his latest.

Quickthorn could give the favourite something to think about.

So too Roger Varian’s TITLE who arrives after a win on his handicap debut at Doncaster three weeks ago.

At course and distance in the summer, Tilte took a third-place finish in the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot.

He still appears to be firmly heading in the right direction and rates a danger.

This is another of the top horse racing betting fixtures from Ascot, the second of two Group 3 contests on Saturday.

GREAT AMBASSADOR may take some preference as a horse racing tip in this quality contest. He has been steaming along.

Since moving to join Ed Walker, the progress of Great Ambassador has been significant. It’s been three wins for this yard now, the last at York in his penultimate run.

Great Ambassador put in an eye-catching run to take second place in the Ayr Gold Cup last time out, only finding BIELSA too good on the day.

But the conditions of this race and the move up in grade can see him turn the table on that rival.

As for Bielsa, we don’t think that this one totally suits him and it still needs further improvement from him. GLEN SHIEL warrants a bigger shout. He has been fighting up at Group 1 on his last two runs.

He hasn’t found the level of performance that was expected of him up there.

So the drop in Grade is likely to see him put together a bold run. The conditions are much better for him on Saturday.

DILIGENT HARRY has nice bits of form this season which could see him get heavily involved. He was third at the Chipchase Stakes at Newcastle on his penultimate run.

Then he delivered another fine showing to take runner up on his turf debut at Newbury in the Hackwood Stakes on his latest.

He has responded to the tougher assignments and the lightly-raced Diligent Harry could have a say.

This is a big field to dive into and ARATUS could feature strongly. He has come up 4lb in the ratings after scoring at Goodwood on his latest.

That completed a four-timer for him and he should be in this one. This is a much more straightforward track than Goodwood as well, so Aratus has to go on the shortlist.

RIVER NYMPH, a stablemate to Aratus should have some claims in this one after winning his second course and distance effort in May. That was in the Victoria Cup.

He returned from a break a couple of weeks ago to put in a decent shift at Newbry. River Nymph has not been disgraced against stronger companies the last two times.

AL RUFFAA could be a key player in all of this as well. He was second three weeks ago at Sandown on a 7f trip. He stays at the same mark which puts him right in this.

The other to potentially watch in this big field is FRESH who wasn’t disgraced in the Stewards Cup on his latest at Goodwood in defeat.

Fresh scored in a big handicap field at Ascot in May, so this is in his wheelhouse.

DANZENO has enjoyed a good summer, picking up three wins in conditions events. The most recent of those was at Beverley 11 days ago.

The handicapper appears to have been pretty lenient on Danzeno for this Ascot effort on Saturday, so there could be a decent showing from 10 year old.

CALL ME GINGER is of interest as well after completing a hattrick on his penultimate run.

That was in the Ayr Bronze Cup recently. He followed up by rattling the crossbar at Haydock against a good one, so should be right there.e

BOUNDLESS POWER is the favourite in horse racing betting and that’s because of his terrific runner up effort at Doncaster three weeks ago in the Portland.
