It’s been a brilliant week so far and Friday’s top fixture is the Yorkship Cup Stakes (Group 2).

We have a look at some talented young fillies for the opener of our daily racing tips.

We are going straight to BELLARNEA LADY as our 7/1 selection* (betting odds recorded 19:56 GMT on 13th May 2021 at William Hill).

There was plenty of promise on her debut in which she took second place at Newmarket. She pushed on further than at Leicester to get off the mark.

That score happened in a four-runner contest three weeks ago.

Bellarena Lady was well on top of the opposition at the close of that one. Further progress looks guaranteed and she has a decent shot here.

Other big threats in the field look to be CRAZYLAND after a superb Windsor debut and FABIOSA in a very competitive field.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

This looks as if it could all boil down to a two-horse race between SNOW LANTERN and LOVE IS YOU.

We have Snow Lantern coming up in grade, while Love Is You is coming down in class. So this should balance out pretty well.

But it is going to Nell Gwyn third-place finishers LOVE IS YOU that gets the nod as our horse racing tip at 10/3* (betting odds recorded 19:56 GMT on 13th May 2021 at William Hill).

She shaped well enough in the Nell Gwyn but the step up to 1m looks the right move right now. That Newmarket run was her reappearance as well.

Love Is You is a leading player here and in her juvenile season picked up two wins from two.

She had opened at Ascot and then produced a very professional performance to score at Newbury.

We think that favourite TENBURY WELLS is going to be a little too tough to knock over in this contest.

He is the 6/4 favourite and we are calling on him as our tip* (betting odds recorded 19:56 GMT on 13th May 2021 at William Hill).

The surface is going to play to his strengths. He was last seen in September on quicker ground which didn’t help him. He was fourth in that 10f contest.

But the form from that race has worked out for him Tenbury Wells did collect a couple of wins last season as well.

There is plenty more to come from him in handicapping. This is his reappearance and is up against match-fit competitors.

But Tenbury Wells has been gelded over the winter and should go close from his mark.

This is a wide open contest. The handicapper has really been after MAY SONIC after a recent win, but he can’t totally be ruled out.

Other players could easily be BARBILL and APLOMB.

He had a decent enough reappearance in March on the all-weather which should have sharpened him up well.

Major Jumbo took part in plenty of strong fixtures in the previous campaign. He looks to be well treated for this one and can make a big impression.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

This is the top race of the day. We are going with SIR RON PRIESTLY at 6/4 as our tip for the Yorkshire Cup Stakes* (betting odds recorded 19:56 GMT on 13th May 2021 at William Hill).

He looks like the obvious pick as he is just thriving at the moment. He is consistent and seeks a hattrick after wins at Nottingham and Newmarket.

The latter of those wins wasn’t at an ideal distance either. For Friday’s action he is coming back to a better trip so should flourish even more.

Sir Ron Priestley is going to be really tough to reel in if he gets to the front and dominates like he wants to.

His stablemate NAYEF ROAD is worth consideration as well. He put in a great run at the Sagaro Stakes on his reappearance.

Nayef Road was third to the great Stradivarius on the day. He’s bound to give another good account.

This is another good competitive event with plenty of claims knocking around.

We think that ASK PADDINGTON could be the way to go at 13/2* (betting odds recorded 19:56 GMT on 13th May 2021 at William Hill).

A change of yard has been just what he has needed and he has been going from strength to strength.

Ask Paddington was last seen 25 days ago, producing a career best score at Hexham. He had Shetland Bus behind him in the contest.

He warrants a look in the race. The current favourite PORSCHEMA definitely rates as a threat as he looks to follow up a recent win.

He comes up 11lb, while SEBASTOPOL can’t be written out of this either.

We finish up today’s horse racing tips with a look at a handicap chase from Aintree. It is a good one as well.

POTTERS LEGEND rates a threat at the head of the market after picking up a win at Fontwell from 3lb higher than he will be on Friday.

He can’t be ruled out at all and neither can SIR IVAN who looks to secure a double.

But we are side steeping those and are happy to take a chance on 4/1 shot JOHNBB* (betting odds recorded 19:56 GMT on 13th May 2021 at William Hill).

There is a lot to like about him and he is exposed here. He was a little unfortunate to come up against a flyer in a Grade 3 handicap over course and distance on his last run.

That was a month ago, losing out to Happy Go Lucky. This is a much easier assignment than that Grand National meeting race was. Johnbb comes up 3lb and could have a big say in this.
