There’s some Class 2 stuff around for Friday as we gear up to an exciting weekend of horse racing betting.

OPTIMISTIC BIAS went well at Hereford six weeks ago with this same jockey. That should put him back in strong contention.
Optimistic Bias was second to a thriving one in that Hereford contest and looks to be on a good mark over the hurdles.
His last four victories have been over the fences, but Optimistic Bias is not to be discounted from this with a 3lb claimer.
LE GRAND LION looks like a tough one in this race if he can back his latest run.
Le Grand Lion took a win on Boxing Day in a difficult Huntington trip on what was his handicap debut.
He got there though, with clear stamina just about paying off and up 2lb he should have a big chance.
WEEBILL is the final one for the shortlist in this contest. He won last time out, scoring in a selling hurdle at Leicester.
That was a very comfortable score for him. He perhaps needs to be respected therefore coming back into action as connections look for Weebil to kick on.

ANGELS LANDING is likely to be one of the key contenders in his handicap action on Friday.
She was a fair winner on the flat and now really looks like she has the potential over the hurdles.
It’s been four starts over the timbers for Angels Landing and she has placed in three. The handicapping move should bring more from her.
LADYKILLER was third three weeks ago in a hurdle effort at Newbury in December.
He hasn’t quite gotten his form going over the timbers just yet, but the handicapping move means that Ladykiller could feature a little more strongly.
NASHVILLE NIPPER should remain competitive even though he gets a rise of 5lb for a recent score at Plumpton.
That was in a handicap fixture and it was about time for him to deliver after putting some good consistent runs together this season. He should be there.

COBRA DE MAI is down 2lb from his last effort which was a credible enough sixth-place finish in a handicap here at Market Rasen.
That was a month ago, so he stays in good health.
Cobra Mai is on a long winless streak, but there have been encouraging signs from him as of late and gets on the shortlist.
HUNNY MOON is going places and she took a victory in November at course and distance.
That was on just her second chase appearance. There has been plenty to like about Hunny Moon so far, but she is now up to 3lb.
BUSTER VALENTINE took a very good runner up spot in a handicap chase at Wetherby a month ago.
This distance should be right in his wheelhouse and therefore he can’t be counted out of this one at all. There’s further improvement to come.

Race Type: Class 2 handicap hurdle

METIER should be one of the main challenges for the win in this contest. It’s a competitive race though.
The former Grade 1 Tolworth winner had a poor appearance this season.
But he was back heading in the right direction when fourth at Ascot’s Betfair Exchange Trophy last month.
Metier is eased 3lb for this contest and the previous form should mean that he is a danger.
LUCKY MAX completed a hat trick last time out, scoring at Cork 47 days ago. He has been rapidly improving this season.
This is a much tougher challenge and he’s also on a much higher mark, but claims could be there.
HUDSON DE GRUGY is one to watch in this one. This is a deeper race than he faced in scoring a course and distance handicap last month.
There’s been a 3lb rise for Hudson De Grugy, but he may well be worth changing again because he could yet find more progress.
CHTI BALKO could be worth a look as well, just because he thrives when there’s a lot of cut in the ground.
He’s been in reasonable form this season without taking a win. Chti Balko could work his way into this.

NEIL THE LEGEND should be heavily involved in this one if he runs true to form. He’s bringing winning form to the table.
Three weeks ago he took an easy score at Warwick and can clearly handle stiffer challengers. That was his first run for Nicky Henderson.
Neil The Legend is probably one who now has a lot more to come from a top yard.
CHAMBARD is worth a look after also winning his latest three weeks ago.
Granted the handicapper did him some favors on his reappearance at Exeter.
Chambard scored with plenty in hand and even though he comes up 9lb, could have a bold challenge in him still
CUT THE MUSTARD should have some reasonable each-way claims in this one as she’s a useful chaser.
She seemed to have a bit of a revival with a third in a Chepstow handicap just over three weeks ago.
The attitude of Cut The Mustard could be a little better, but she’s from a top yard and could feature.

FRERO BAMBOU has been ticking along well this season without having gotten his nose in front.
That last win that he took was in March last year at a 2m trip in a Sandown Handicap.
Still, there have been very good runs from Frero Banou the last two times, so he can get in this.
LE LIGERIEN is up 5lb now after collecting a win for himself in a Chepstow handicap a couple of weeks ago.
There was much-improved jumping form by him in that one. It was the second win in his last three and there’s a chance he could back it up.
ECLAIR D’AINAY has won three of four over the fences with a score collected at Wetherby in December.
That was in a Wetherby handicap chase. He enjoys the mud a lot so the conditions will suit and the 7lb rise may not slow him up.
