We are rolling into some action from Cheltenham and Newbury for Friday’s horse racing betting tips.

It’s a fairly quiet day of action really for a Friday, but there are some competitive novices and maidens to come for the day.

Race Preview

ART APPROVAL is expected to be in the thick of this. This will be his reappearance run after ending last season with back to back wins at Market Rasen and Exeter.

It has been a break of six months since the latest of those. Art Approval will need more in this, as it’s a tougher contest but warrants some big respect.

DAL HORRISGLE may not be totally out of this one with the tongue-tie on for the first time. He’s been a good runner on the flat and has won a couple of times over the hurdles. He misfired on his handicap debut on his latest but could be better for it.

GUARD YOUR DREAMS is top eight and his return to action. He was in fine form last season, including a good third at Aintree to end the campaign. That was a Grade 1 effort, He’s from a top yard and should be ready to fire from a fair mark.

Race Preview

There are a few with some good claims in this one. CALAGOGO is looking for his fourth career win. He was in good spirits last time out as he completed a hattrick with a score at Killarney. It was a straightforward win, and while jumping form could be improved, Calagogo should be there.

SIRUH DU LAC is another to watch as he is a good proven chaser. He’s been lightly worked over the last couple of years. He hasn’t been seen since last year’s Cheltenham Festival when he came up on a trip on a switch back to the hurdles.

DRAGON BONES picked up a 3m Doncaster win on her reappearance. That completed a hattrick of form carrying over from last season. She is firing very well at the moment and should get heavily involved as she’s unbeaten over the timbers.

Race Preview

All of the runners in this one are in form at the moment, so this could be a highlight of the day’s horse racing betting.

ANNUAL INVICTUS finished last season on the up and should be suited to a longer trip here. He won three times last year and looks to turn the tables on Faivoir who beat him on a 2m Uttoxeter trip 19 days ago. Annual Invictus is 8lb better off against that rival.

DANNY KIRWAN picked up a comfortable win at Wincanton in March. He has had a wind op in that break. He receives weight from the other key players in this one as he moves into chasing for the first time.

FAIVOIR carries an 8lb extra from his last run, a win at Uttoxeter. He held off Annual Invictus comfortably in that one and completed a hattrick. He may still have more to bring to the table and rates a danger.

ANY NEWS should have a big shout in this one after picking up a runner up finish on his chase debut last month. That was at Warwick and looks a progressive sort.

SIR TIVO has been in cracking form this season and put in some good performances over the fences during the summer. This novice company perhaps is tougher for him and gives weight to most of the field.

FIDELIO VALLIS has taken a win in four of his last six efforts and the six-year-old should make for a strong horse racing tip for Paul Nicholls. The drop in trip should put him right there after a good Listed effort.

Race Preview

This is a competitive fixture coming up from Doncaster for horse racing betting on Friday. FRESH should feature strongly.

He goes off an unchanged mark after a third-place finish in an Ascot handicap three weeks ago. Fresh is low mileage and should be watched in the market.

MAGICAL SPIRIT could be worth watching in the mark. He won the Ayr Silver Cup last year and was generally ticking along in good order.

There was a misfire last time out at York finishing second from last. The Magical Spirit could bounce back.

CHAIRMANOFTHEBOARD picked up a good win at Haydock last time out and under a 5lb penalty for that, he could be strong. He has been rapidly on the up in recent form and if this isn’t too soon after that Haydock win 7 days ago, Chairmanofhteboard has claims.

We close out today’s horse racing tips with a look at this handicap at Doncaster for which TITIAN looks like a strong player.

He looked pretty sharp on his reappearance taking second place at Beverley on this trip in August. Ryan Moore is booked and Titian stays on the same mark.

KNOWWHENTORUN rates as a danger in this one and the extra trip on offer should help him a lot. He is still a maiden but continues to go well and is a pretty game sort.

ALBA ROSE may be worth chancing as well. She has had one run this year, which was a sixth-place finish in the Pretty Polly Stakes. The hood goes on for the first time for this one in which she’s been handed a tough mark for her handicap debut.
