Today’s horse racing tips take in some of the top action from Newmarket, including the 2000 Guineas tips.
It’s a big day of flat racing from both Newmarket and from Goodwood as well.
But there is some action over the jumps that we are going to study from Uttoxeter.

NATIVE TRAIL is the favourite in the 2000 Guineas renewal and with fair reason too.
He is a top-class colt and has such a devastating turn of speed to bank on at the finish.
Native Trail has had a reappearance run this season.
That was a pleasingly comfortable win at course and distance in the Craven Stakes.
The victory took his record to five wins from five and should get trainer Charlie Appleby his first 2000 Guineas success.
LUXEMBOURG has some claims as well after taking a victory in the Futurity at Doncaster.
His year’s last two winners of the Futurity have gone on to also win the 2000 Guineas.
Luxembourg’s father also won this race, so there is a lot to like about his chances.
As a 2-year-old Luxembourg won all three runs. His Futurity fixture was comfortable and had plenty in the tank if it was needed.
PERFECT POWER gets on the shortlist in 2000 Guineas tips as well.
He banked a victory under this rider on his reappearance at Greenham Newbury on his return a couple of weeks ago.
That’s three in a row for the duo and Perfect Power should fit well in this 1m contest.
COROEBUS who is a stalemate of Native River is a brilliant youngster as well.
He’s exciting and took a win in two of his three last season, impressive scoring at course and distance in the Autumn Stakes. He’s a threat.

HURRICANE IVOR should be a big danger in this field at Newmarket on the weekend.
He improved massively last season, winning a couple of his final three runs. One of those successes was a Group 3 at Newbury.
ARECIBO is a course specialist with two wins in three previous course and distance efforts.
This is his season return and he warrants some big respect. Arecibo has been frustrating in the handicapping realm to follow.
But Arecibo has clear claims for his place finish in the Group 1 King’s Stand last year. He has it in him.
TWILIGHT CALLS is a big one in his field as well as he makes the move up in grade to take this on.
He’s a low-mileage sprinter but returned to action at C&D a couple of weeks ago, scoring a good handicap win, looking easily ready for bigger challenges.

FLOTUS sets the standard in his contest after scoring at Ripon on a Listed effort on her penultimate run.
She followed that up with a second-place finish in the Group 1 Cheveley Park at course and distance. Flotus should be stronger on her return.
UMM KULTHUM placed in Group 2 company on her most recent effort, which was almost a year ago.
That absence is an obvious concern going up against Flotus, but if she picks up where she left off, then Umm Kulthum can get in it.
GALE FORCE MAYA also gets on the shortlist after claiming a win at the course and distance 18 days ago.
That’s three wins from her last four runs now, carrying back into last season. Gale Force Maya has clearly got things together, albeit a little later than most of these.

MRS FITZHERBERT makes her reappearance after coming only strongly at the end of the previous campaign.
She missed out on a hat-trick when she got a very good fourth place in a Lignified Listed race. Mrs Fitzherbert should be a player.
PRIMO BACIO has the form in her previous runs to give a good account of herself if she is geared up for his return.
She is a smart person, although her form dipped at the end of the last season. Primo Bacio brings claims despite the absence.
ZANBAQ is a really interesting player in this one who makes just her second racetrack appearance.
She won her debut in a minor event at Kempton last November. She is bred well and could ruffle a few feathers.

MOKTASAAB comes up 7lb for his next effort as he looks to add to his recent Newbury handicap win.
It was a brilliant run, easily the best of his career and if that’s the kind of improvement that he is bringing to the table this season, he should get close to the follow-up.
CARADOC is more than capable on his day of putting a big run together. He’s just a little hard to catch right.
Caradoc should benefit from having had a reappearance run at Newbury a couple of weeks ago. That was after a break of 9 months.
ROSCIOLI had a bare result after struggling to get into a Newbury contest on his reappearance run two weeks ago.
That was a race won by Moktassab. Roscioli retains potential and was eased back in that one after the effort fell apart.

FORECAST looks to have got in lightly for this one and the helping hand he has been given by the handicapper could get him close.
He is a former course and distance winner. He was last seen on a longer trip at Newton Abbot a month ago.
Forecast couldn’t see that out, but was second and has claims down on a trip.
HUNTERS CALL has some claims and the veteran is working a look with the cheekpieces on for the first time.
He’s 2lb down from a third-place finish at Ayr on his last run. This race is in within his scope if he carries on in a similar form.
WHATSUPWITHYOU is the final one for the shortlist in what is a wide-open affair to try and pick through.
There was a second-place finish for him at Cheltenham earlier this month. That was a similar type of contest, so warrants respect.

FRANCKY DU BERLAIS has big claims in this one as he looks to be well handicapped.
He was last seen three weeks ago when taking a fourth-place finish in the Topham at Aintree. That was a step in the right direction.
TIDE TIMES is up 6lb in a stronger race so he is going to be tested in this one, but looks competitive.
He got off the market Ludlow and then under a penalty, he defied the extra to make it back to back wins.
Does Tide Times have even more?
BACK ON THE LASH is another shortlisted contender in this one who won a couple of times at Uttoxeter last season.
He needs a revival after struggling last time out, but he had excuses in that one, which was at the Cheltenham Festival. This is within his range.
