L’HOMME PRESSE is the market leader for this big Grade 1 action from Sandown on Saturday.

He has taken the move to the fences in his stride and landed the Grade 2 Dipper at Cheltenham on his latest run.

That completed a hat trick for L’Homme Presse and he looks like he can handle himself well now going into the top level.

PIC D’ORHY has won two of three chase efforts this season so is another that is clearly thriving in this sphere.

The first of those wins was recorded in a Ffos Las handicap before doubling up when he scored an Ascot Grade 2 in December.

In between those two wins, there was a fall for Pic D’Orhy at Newbury, which denied him a probable win.

So he is thriving at the moment and can produce a challenge.

MR COFFEY looks to be the best of the rest but unlikely to pull out enough to land the win.

There was a good season over the hurdles for him last year before taking to the fences well this season with a couple of place finishes.

Mr Coffey was last seen at Kempton on Boxing Day finishing as runner-up in a novices’ handicap. This is much tougher.

Tip: L’HOMME PRESSE 4/5

Ones to watch: Pic D’Orhy 15/8, Mister Coffey 10/1

FANCY MAN is an interesting player in his contest as he returns fresh from a break, not having run since September.

He finished with a win in 2021, getting a minor event score here at Lingfield in that one.

He did go close a couple of times in Group 3 efforts the month before that.

It’s reasonable enough to assume that Fancy Man will make his presence felt on Saturday.

AL ZARAQAAN picked up a win at Newcastle three weeks ago on his first run for a new yard.

That maintained his perfect record on the all-weather and the 5-year-old is likely to have a say in matters at Lingfield.

ROSE OF KILDARE is worth considering for the shortlist in this one as well. She makes her return for the first time in 2020.

But in that year Rose Of Kildare did win the Group 3 Musidora and banked a third-place finish in a Group 3 before signing off for her break.

She’s tough and can make her preference felt despite the absence.

Tip: FANCY MAN 7/4

Ones to watch: Rose Of Kildare 11/2, Al Zaraqaan 2/1

ROHAAN had a good first half of 2021 and while the latter part of the calendar didn’t see him with such a good heart, he could be a threat on Saturday.

Rohaan is coming down in grade for his reappearance in this one. He did also claim four wins last year, including one at Royal Ascot.

FIZZY FEET is always a lively one and she put in a credible enough third-place finish at a course and distance handicap three weeks ago.

Fizzy Feet does have four C&D successes under her belt. If she runs true to her top form then she should have a chance.

SOLDIER’S MINUTE is the final one to get on the shortlist in the Kachy Stakes.

He landed a win at Wolverhampton in December and wasn’t back in that same kind of mood three weeks ago at course and distance.

Still, he can’t be dismissed on the back of that Wolverhampton score and a bounce back is plausible.

Tip: FIZZY FEET 20/1 e/w

Ones to watch: Soldier’s Minute 9/1, Rohaan 7/2

GREEN BOOK had a pretty bad misfire in the Lanzarote on his latest effort, which was three weeks ago.

But he has still been on the up overall over the hurdles and can have a say in this one.

The trip should be right in his wheelhouse.

There were back to back wins for Green Book at Haydock and Ludlow last year for him and may have a say in this wide-open field.

BEAUPORT doesn’t look too far away from making a return to winning ways at the moment.

He did take a score here at Sandown last March and he has been an improver this season.

Beauport has done well in a couple of two and a half mile efforts recently, taking back to back runner-up handicap finishes.

Now he has been moved up to a longer distance, there is probably a lot more to come from him.

REE OKKA looks like a really exciting one and has won three of four efforts this season.

It’s been nothing but positive stuff by the 6-year-old over the hurdles, with novice victories banked at Chepstow and Kempton.

He’s unexposed in this kind of contest, however, but still, Ree Okka looks to be thriving well enough to pique some interest.

JESUITIQUE is another that gets on the shortlist from this big field at Sandown on Saturday.

He has been steaming along since moving to his new yard, winning three of four for his new connections.

So his presence can’t be ignored, especially not after crushing everyone in sight at Haydock on a 3m trip last time out.

He’s up 10lb but not out of the picture.

Tip: BEAUPORT 13/2

Ones to watch: Jesuitique 11/1, Ree Okka 13/2

SONG FOR SOMEONE is going to be well-supported in this field and rightly so.

He has found a bit more of his usual spark this season, really looking as if he benefited from a wind op.

Song For Someone’s last two efforts have seen him take back to back runner-up spots in Grade 2 runs at Ascot and Cheltenham. He’s the one to beat.

GUARD YOUR DREAMS did beat Song for Someone at Ascot on his penalty time run. However, he is 6lb worse off against that rival for Saturday.

Guard Your Dreams has won two of four runs this season and is a good, strong, reliable performer.

He steps back into action after taking a third-place finish in the Relkeel Hurdle a month ago.

GOSHEN is a former course and distance winner and has put in a couple of decent efforts recently.

He was the last of three in a Lingfield conditions even two weeks ago, but that was a run full of encouragement which suggests that Goshen is getting his act back together.

Tip: SONG FOR SOMEONE 2/1

Ones to watch: Guard Your Dreams 5/2, Goshen 3/1

SAINT PALAIS needs to be firmly considered in this Grade 2 novices’ chase action at Wetherby on the weekend.

He completed a hattrick just over a month ago with a score in a Newbury handicap.

That pushed his unbeaten record for his new yard further.

In this winning streak at Saint Palais, there was a course and distance success for him, so there’s little reason why he shouldn’t go well.

AHOY SENOR is a strong one and he looks like a thrilling prospect. He won his penultimate race, a novice chase at Newbury.

Ahoy Senor then took his form even further with a runner-up finish to Bravemansgame in the Kauto Star at Kempton 41 days ago.

ASHTOWN LAD opened his season with a score in a Wetherby chase, his debut in this sphere back in November.

He delivered a good second on his latest run which was in a Haydock chase 37 days ago.

Ashtown Lad arrives for a top yard and has claims.

Tip: SAINT PALAIS 5/2

Ones to watch: Ahoy Senor 8/13, Ashtown Lad 9/1
