Today’s horse racing tips for Saturday sees a big day of action with five different meetings going on.

We are going to be narrowing things down for our top six horse racing betting tips by looking at Chepstow and Kempton only.

The feature races of the day for our UK Racing Odds & Tips includes the Silviniaco Conti Chase and the Lanzaro Handicap Hurdle.

Race Favourite

The race favourite for this Coral Finale Juvenile Hurdle is NASSALAM at evens* (betting odds recorded 21:54 GMT on Friday, 8th January 2021 at William Hill). He will be looking to rattle off a hattrick as he comes back into play.

Nassalam has won a couple of juvenile efforts by big margins at Fontwell and just looks primed to take this form even further.

He is likely going to be a player here, looking to maintain his perfect record in Britain under Gary Moore.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

HOUX GRIS brings strong claims to the table as well after winning on his second attempt over the hurdles. He has since moved on to Paul Nicholls who has form in this race.

The trainer has won two for the last five editions. Houx Gris was last season scoring by a neck at 2m 1f at Auteuil in October.

We make him our 10/3 selection* (betting odds recorded 21:54 GMT on Friday, 8th January 2021 at William Hill) pf his first run for his new yard.

ADAGIO is another that makes it onto the shortlist in this one. He has won twice in juvenile at Warwick and Cheltenham for David Pipe.

Sandwiched in between those two wins he also got a second place in Grade 2 at Cheltenham. Adagio looks super competitive and should be in the frame.

This is one of the big features of the day. MCFABULOUS heads up the market for this contest from a commanding 11/10 quote* (betting odds recorded 21:54 GMT on Friday, 8th January 2021 at William Hill).

He opened the season with a tremendous score in the Persian War at Chepstow, which secured him a hat-trick. He then went to Newbury on a 3m 2m trip in the Ladbrokes Long Distance Hurdle.

Mcfabulous got close there for Pual Nicholls as well, taking a third-place finish. The trip was just a little too long for him as he started to fade after having travelled so well for a long way. Big, big claims are there for him on the drop in trip.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

SUMMERVILLE BOY can’t be written out of this. He was the winner of last year’s renewal of this very race. He was fifth at Cheltenham on his last test run, far too short of a distance for him to really get going.

But it’s worth remembering that Summerville Boy scored at Aintree on his season’s reappearance and the 2018 Supreme Hurdle winner can feature.

We would swing for YOUNEVERCALL to go on the shortlist as well for this contest. He should be right thereafter coming on strong this season.

He returned after a long absence during which he handled a wind op.

A very good fourth place in the Long Walk at Ascot at 3m last time puts him right in the frame.

IMPERIAL AURA heads up this small field currently at 5/6 odds-on* (betting odds recorded 21:54 GMT on Friday, 8th January 2021 at William Hill). It has been stellar form from him so far, winning both efforts for this new campaign.

The most recent of those was in the 1965 Chase at Ascot 49 days ago. Imperial Aura got the job done comfortably there by 5 lengths. The young chaser looks really progressive and has the world at his feet.

Another good performance from him by scoring in this Kempton run on Saturday would project him firmly into the Ryanair. If he gets it, it will complete a four-timer for him.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

MASTER TOMMYTUCKER has started to produce better jumping form. He collected back to back wins at Haydock and Huntingham in November.

He struggled a little bit when 7th of 17 at a Cheltenham Grade 3 handicap since. But he went off far too quickly. The smaller field should see Master Tommytucker produce a bit more of a composed run, but he doesn’t have a great track record at Kempton.

RIDERS ONTHE STORM opened these reasons with a third palace finish at Cheltenham in the Schloer Chase. He was never in the winning frame in that one, but it came when his yard was having a very quiet month. Last term Riders OnThe Storm did finish off a hattrick by winning the Ascot Chase.

CLONDAW CASTLE has had a good season with more improvement having been delivered. He’s not out of this at all. In his penultimate race, he scored a Newbury handicap and then followed up with a third-place at Peterborough Chase at Cheltenham a month ago.

ONE TRUE KING is the 5/1 market leader in this massive field* (betting odds recorded 21:54 GMT on Friday, 8th January 2021 at William Hill).

The form has certainly been there from him and the step up in trip could pull even better things out of him.

One True King has had a couple of very good efforts in Cheltenham handicaps recently and he picked up a score on his latest run.

That was at Leicester on a 1m 7f novice trip in December last year, by a 12l margin. One True King has also won at Uttoxeter for this season.

Kevin Brogan jumping into the saddle of AMOUR DE NUIT gives the Paul Nicholls charge a good amount of interest here. Brogan is a 7lb claimer.

Amour De Nuit has been right on form this season, claiming a win at Plumpton on his reappearance after 20 months off.

He went even better on his follow up to claim second in a strong Newbury race.

MISTY WHISKY has to be respected for the contest. The dual bumper winner has come on leaps and bounds since having a wind surgery.

She is operating so well over the hurdles now and has won both efforts this season. Those were at Uttoxeter and Ludlow. Misty Whisky retains a lot of potential and has to be kept on side.

This is going to be a thrilling spectacle. At the head of the market for Coral Welsh Grand National Handicap Chase betting we have SECRET REPRIEVE at 4/1* (betting odds recorded 21:54 GMT on Friday, 8th January 2021 at William Hill)

He arrives on the back of the win at the Welsh Grand National Trial here last month. There has been a 4lb penalty for Secret Reprieve for that win, but Evan Williams has a great chance to see his charge take this.

Secret Reprieve had plenty to spare when he claimed the 3m win against some of these rivals. There are big claims.

YALA ENKI has placed in his last two runs of this race, so more will be expected of him. He picked up a second-place finish on his reappearance run this season at Cheltenham.

Yala Enki suffered an early fall at Aintree in the Group 3 Becher Handicap Chase at Aintree. As long as nothing is upsetting from that, he can feature.

THE TWO AMIGOS looks good for another bold account in this one. He is a very good stayer and found only Secret Reprieve too good in the Welsh National Trial here 35 days ago. The Two Amigos stays at the same mark and therefore warrants respect.

SPRINGFIELD FOX is the other that we will have for the shortlist here. He claimed second place on his first run of the season. That was a very promise 3m effort here at Chepstow. He’s unexposed over the fences but has won a couple of chases and three-pointers.

The race favourite for this mares’ action is WHITEOAK FLEUR at 6/5* (betting odds recorded 21:54 GMT on Friday, 8th January 2021 at William Hill).

She scored on her penultimate run which was in a Sedgefield handicap hurdle in December. She was well on course to follow up on her next run as well.

But the jumping form of Whiteoak Fleur deserted her late on at Kelso and she had to settle for a second palace finish. It was a bit of a missed opportunity really. There’s been a 4lb rise for her.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

PONIENTE gets the nod from us at 11/4 in what is her handicap debut for Vanessa Williams* (betting odds recorded 21:54 GMT on Friday, 8th January 2021 at William Hill).

Her first go at the hurdles was a year ago and she claimed second place at Plumpton. Poniente has had two runs this season, producing a good third-place finish at Ludlow last month with the hood (retained).

DAME DU SOIR is the final section. She was second on a good effort last month at Southwell on a 2m trip. It hasn’t been a particularly productive campaign from her yet, but she is the highest-rated horse in the field. There should be more to come.
