Today’s horse racing tips for Saturday are all from Newmarket which hosts a stunning day of action.

The highlight of the day is the Group 1 Dewhurts Stakes, but there is also the Zetland and the Cesarewitch to look forward to.

NATIVE TRAIL is the big favourite in Dewhurst Stakes racing odds for Saturday.

He’s an 8/11 quote* (odds recorded 19:37 GMT on 8th October 2021 at William Hill).

The Charlie Appleby colt has won all three appearances so far and looks extremely high quality as well.

On his latest effort Native Trail scored at the Curragh in the Group 1 National Stakes at this distance. That was a very strong win by more than three lengths.

Native Trail looks the one to beat at Newmarket on Saturday. Where could a challenge come from?

STRAIGHT ANSWER looks the best option to capitalize if Native Trial loses his unbeaten record. He looks like an exciting prospect as well.

It’s been two wins from two (both in Ireland) for Straight Answer and was well above the field on a Listed victory last time out.

Straight Answer got the win by more than five lengths at Fairyhouse and could have plenty more to come.

The final shortlist selection for horse racing betting is going to be BAYSIDE BOY who is another promising one.

He got the victory in the Champagne Stakes which puts him right in this one. It’s two wins in three from him and is well worth a try at this level.

The Cesarewitch is a great spectacle with 36 declared runners taking on the challenge on Saturday at Newmarket.

That’s a lot to dig through. The first horse racing tip for the shorts is ELYSIAN FLAME who has finished third the last twice.

The most recent of those efforts was at Goodwood behind Calling The Wind and Withhold. He has the stamina to turn the tables.

M C MULDOON rates a big danger for last year’s winning trainer Willie Mullins (who has won the last 3 editions).

M C Muldoon looks ready to take on this stamina examination and luck wasn’t quite on his side as he took a second in the Ascot Stakes on his latest run on the flat.

He went over the jumps 72 days ago to take a novice hurdle win in Galway.

We will have FOVEROS for the shortlist as well. He scored impressively in May at the Curragh and was only a little bit short on a 2m effort in a Galway handicap to follow up.

Foveros undid himself a little in that one as he went for broke sooner than he needed to. But he could be set for a bold run.

It’s a big field so there is one more selection which is GOOBINATOR because he’s thriving at the moment with the headgear.

It’s been back to back wins and he will be under a 4lb penalty after a score at Haydock last time out. Goobinator still looks well treated.

GALA FORCE MAYA is worth another chance at this level and she is thriving at the moment sitting on a hattrick chance.

After returning to winning ways at Pontefract, she followed up impressively on a course and distance handicap just over two weeks ago.

She comes back up in class now and she should get heavily involved. So too CHOCOYA who is another sitting on a hattrick chance.

That’s a handicap double which she took and there was a hugely impressive finish from her last time out at Chelmsford. With a couple of good efforts before at this level, Chocoya should go well.

The final selection for horse racing betting to get on the shortlist is SCARLET BEAR. She returns after a good win at Pontefract in April on a 6f trip.

That was a reappearance run after closing out her juvenile season with a superb runner up spot in a Group 3 finish. There could be a lot more to come from her.

This is a competitive renewal of the Darley Stakes. MOSTAHDAF returned to winning ways last time out with a victory at Sandown.

That was after a break after finding a try at Group 1 too much to handle. That Ascot run saw Mastahdaf’s unbeaten career end.

But with the immediate bounce back in a Listed effort, he should have enough to get there and the extra furlong could be a positive.

BARNEY ROY is expected to be right in the thick of this one as well. It’s been more than a year since he was last seen in action. But he’s a proven performer and was scoring at the top level overseas last year.

If he is back anywhere near his best, Barney Roy should have a shout and he is from a top yard which will probably have him wound up.

LOUGH DERG is the other one for the shortlist in this one and he should have plenty to offer after a good run at Dundalk last time out.

He had a slight edge over stablemate Khartoum narrowly in that Group 3 contest. Lough Derg therefore could feature on the back of that competitive showing.

GOLDSPUR made quite the impact on his debut, claiming a 1m success at Sandown in that opener.

He was very strong at the finish which suggests that this further trip is going to pull even more potential out of him, and he’s bred well for this.

HAFIT scored a win on his debut on a 7f trip on the July Course here at Newmarket. He was then sent to Haydock and was second of four, the smaller field perhaps not playing to his favour.

Still, Hafit commands big respect for this one. The final one for the shortlist is BLUEGRASS and there was a big step forward from him last time out.

After an indifferent debut, Bluegrass found a ton of improvement to score at the Curragh on a 1m trip six weeks ago in a maiden. He can feature.

COROEBUS didn’t quite get his timing right over course and distance last time out. He had to settle for second after going too soon.

But it was a good, solid run regardless and as he’s coming down in grade as well, Coroebus should have a strong run in him after that Royal Lodge effort.

He may take all the beating on the day. IMPERIAL FIGHTER has palace claims for this one. He was second in the Group 3 Acomb at York last time out.

The extra challenge here on Saturday could suit him perfectly. DUBAI POET would be the other with place claims as well.

He looked good when bolting up to score at Newbury last month. He posted a very good time there which hints that he could go well again.
