The waters are a little calmer for Sunday’s racing action after the thrills of the Aintree festival, with the thrilling climax of the historic Grand National.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

This is a big field for this mares’ handicap hurdle at Warwick on Sunday. There is plenty of quality around including the favourite AYR OF ELEGANCE.

So we are starting off today’s racing with a relatively straightforward pick.

In a change of headgear at Plumpton last month she scored on a great gamble.

The blinkers really did the trick and the win was from nowhere based on her recent form. It was a huge leap forward in the level of performance from her.

But she has to be respected here even coming up 10lb in the ratings.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

We are rolling with NEFF as our horse racing tip in this one.

He was a dual winner at Fontwell last season and hit the places back at that same venue in January with the visor on. The visor will be on for Sunday’s run as well.

The conditions look very well suited to him, with a bit of stiffness in the ground.

Neff stays the same as he was for that third place at Fontwell in January. There have been a couple of signs in his last few races that he isn’t going to be far away from a score.

There’s a competitive field here, especially with the internet SOUTH TERRACE and potentially resurgent COMANCHE RED to be noted.

Today’s Racing Tip

We are going with EMPIRE DE MAULDE as our horse racing tip in this fixture at 3/1 .

He is coming up just 2lb after a score over a similar trip here in December.

He’s obviously been well refreshed since then and it’s two wins from five over the hurdles for him in this campaign.

Empire De Maulde returns for the first time after another wind surgery, which could further perk him up.

There’s a 5lb claimer on his back as well so we think that he has to really get into the frame in this one.

The big threats in the field to this tip appear to be ON A PROMISE and AL MAZHAR GARDE.

Race Favourite

Most of the runners in the handicap hurdle look as if they really need to prove something, so it’s not the deepest of fields that we are digging through.

Certainly, DEMOCRATIC OATH and FANTIC ROCK look like a couple of the stronger options.

But we are going down the list a little bit to FISHER GREEN as our 15/2 horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Saturday, 10th April, 2021 at Bet365).

There was a tremendous return to form from him when he produced a fantastic score over a 2m trip at Wetherby last month.

Just three days later he was out under penalty.

But that Musselburgh trip looked to come way too soon for him.

But regardless, the result is keeping him out there in the odds, and we think that he is worth revisiting as he steps back into action having been refreshed for a couple of weeks.

We have a longer trip in view for this one and it’s quite an intriguing field happening here with SPOTTY DOG lining up as the current favourite, with NOW IS THE WINTER not far behind in the market.

But with some new headgear on, we are swinging with DING DING at 11/2* (betting odds recorded 23:37 GMT on Saturday, 10th April, 2021 at Bet365).

He had a run six days ago at course and distance and was third of 13 on the day there.

Ding Ding stays at the same mark as he was for that run. It’s the cheekpieces that are now tried from connections.

Further boosting his cause is his record here at Plumpton. He has won six times at the venue before and the 10-year-old carries some nice appeal.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

We are just going with ROBIN OF SHERWOOD to get the better of the well-treated GOODNIGHT CHARLIE in this handicap chase.

Robin Of Sherwood was runner up on a run at Ffos Las on his latest effort, but he was finishing well there and it looks like he could massively benefit from the extra trip that is in play in this one.

That recent run at Ffos Las was at 3m so there is a big chance that he is going to be more comfortable in this one.

He certainly looked as if he was running himself into form in any way.

Robin Of Sherwood is a good consistent sort anyway having finished in the places in each of his last three runs. He is a big player in this one.
