Today’s horse racing tips for Sunday are all from Carlisle and Leicester as those are the only two UK venues with action.

The top feature of the day is the Houghton Mares’ Chase from Carlisle, which is a Listed run.

We make a pick for that one and from five other races for Sunday in this racing preview.

Here are the best of today’s horse racing tips for Sunday, 28th November 2021.

All times listed are GMT.

Distance: 2m 4f

It is just the four runners that are in play for this Listed Mares’ Chase at Carlisle on Sunday.

As DOLLY DANCER looks well out of it, it’s likely a three-way race.

The pick of the bunch is ELIMAY who is a good chaser and won two of her final three efforts of the previous campaign.

She hasn’t been outside of the top two in any of her last six and was runner up at the Cheltenham Festival in the Mares’ Chase.

ANNIE MC is a good one and makes her appearance sitting on a hattrick chance.

She was really coming on strongly the last term and won a couple of events at this same distance.

There may well be more to come from Annie Mc this season but she faces a superbly tough rival here.

AMABELLA was another that did well over the fences last season. She rattled off a hat trick against her own sex in Listed efforts.

Zambella should benefit from having had a reappearance spin over the hurdles a month ago.

Tip: ELIMAY 1/2

Ones to watch: Annie Mc 5/2, Zambella 6/1

LOSSIEMOUTH may prove to be the one to beat in this contest as he is thriving this season, having won two of two runs.

The dual bumper winner picked up an Ascot handicap hurdle win just last month and followed that up with a score at Ffos Las eleven days ago.

Lossiemouth looks very progressive and rates as a big danger.

STORM NELSON is capable of a bold challenge looking at his form from the previous campaign. He finished the season with the completion of a hattrick.

Two of those were at course and distance, so he easily poses a threat.

Storm Nelson’s four-timer bid has been made more difficult, having come up 11lb. He’s not to be dismissed, however.

BURBANK is a good chaser and not one to write off easily. He did open the season with a victory, and in good style as well at Aintree in the summer.

His one race since then was at Cartmel where he wasn’t in the same kind of mood. A return to chasing after a break may give Burbank a chance.

The other to consider is FLESHJACK on his reappearance as well. He showed some progress in taking a third-place finish at Warwick in March.

He is 6lb down from his last winning mark which was at Haydock in 2019. Place claims could be there.

Tip: LOSSIEMOUTH 9/4

Ones to watch: Storm Nelson 11/4, Burbank 17/2

WHO’S IN THE BOX is entitled to come on further from having his reappearance run.

That was a month ago in which he never factored, but he clearly looked as if he needed the spin on the track.

Who’s In The Box is a winning pointer who took to the fences very well last season, including a victory at Market Rasen.

He wasn’t out of the top two in any of his final five efforts of the previous campaign. He rates as a danger.

JUGE ET PARTI has been in a good mood this season. He has generally looked a good consistent one and has won two of four runs this term.

He got off the mark for his new yard in the summer. The latest run that Juge Et Parti had was a month ago with a third at Carlisle.

Juge Et Parti is an unexposed chaser but could get involved.

MORNING SPIRIT is the other that catches the eye in this contest.

He opened the season well but will need to bounce back from a fall at Aintree on his chase debut a month ago.

Morning Spirit did go close at Ffos Las in the summer and can feature.

COURT DREAMING is another that shouldn’t be taken too lightly. He took a second-place finish over course and distance last month.

Court Dreaming has claimed a win before at C&D so does pique some interest. He looked to be back on track based on that latest run.

Tip: WHO’S IN THE BOX 13/2

Ones to watch: Juge Et Parti 10/3, Morning Spirit 2/1

SEABOROUGH comes down on trips and therefore makes for an interesting player in this field.

He hasn’t won for some time but showed some encouragement with a second at Uttoxeter last week from this same mark.

BEGIN THE LUCK is another that looked better for his latest run. That was a fourth place for him at Leicester a couple of weeks ago.

He did take a win at Southwell in the Spring and went very close back at that same venue in the summer.

INN THE BULL looks good enough to make his presence felt in this wide-open handicap hurdle.

He scored at Huntington earlier this year from a reduced mark. Inn The Bull was fourth at Kempton after a break three weeks ago and is entitled to be sharper.

MADE FOR YOU finished last season well, taking a couple of wins at Market Rasen.

He looked in pretty good shape three weeks ago at Warwick with the same big claimer that he will have on his back on Sunday. There is a chance here for him.

AL KHERB was a winner on his latest run, which was at Stratford on a 2m trip in a selling hurdle.

He has his first run then for a new yard on Sunday and appears to be on a fairly decent mark.

Tip: BEGIN THE LUCK 13/2

Ones to watch: Made For You 13/2, Seaborough 9/2

DORISA QUEEN caught the eye in picking up a win at Stratford last month. That was on her first run for a new yard and it was also her handicap bow.

Based on that vastly improved effort, Dorisa Queen looks likely to have a decent chance of a follow up for a top yard.

ASTRA VIA was also a winner last time out and she only gets a bump up of 4lb for that success. It was a 2m victory at Chepstow that Astra Via took a month ago.

She timed her race to perfection in that one, to get herself on top at the finish and rates as a danger with any kind of repeat performance.

TASHUNKA isn’t to be dismissed. There was a fourth-place finish from her a month ago at Exeter.

That was after a break of six months for this lightly raced 8-year-old.

CHOSEN SHANT is capable of a better run than she produced at Market Rasen last time out, jumping mistakes costing her.

MISS BAMBI is no forlorn hope for this one either after picking up a win at Hereford 47 days ago.

There was an element of luck there, but regardless of that, it was a nice improvement for her.

Tip: DORISA QUEEN 6/4

Ones to watch: Astra Via 4/1, Miss Bambi 11/2

12:45 Carlisle Novices’ Chase Horse Racing Tip

Race Type: Class 3 novices’ chase
Age: 4 year olds plus
Declared Runners: 6
Distance: 2m

Race Preview

This is a competitive novices’ chase and there are a few who look as if they can get in the frame in it.

DREAL DEAL is naturally looking like a big player given his progressive form from last season.

He completed a four-timer over the fences last season and that was finished in a Punchestown Grade 1.

On his final run of last season, the five-timer evaded him as he found himself well held in an Aintree run.

This is chasing debut for Dreal Deal on Sunday and it is going to be fascinating to see what he has in this sphere.

CORNERSTONE LAD is consistent and should be involved in this one. He is a smart hurdler and went close twice on his switch to the fences last season.

So Cornerstone Lad does have that little extra experience in chasing.

He was second on a reappearance at Wetherby a couple of weeks ago, which will have sharpened him up further.

ADRIMEL is also worth a look here. There was a hat trick of wins for him last season, all over the hurdles.

One of those was a Warwick Grade 2 in which he fought and battled so well to get.

Adriel has pulled up the last twice, both Grade 1 efforts so connections clearly see something big in him.

Tip: CORNERSTONE LAB 7/2

Ones to watch: Adrimel 7/2, Dreal Deal 5/2
