The current 11/10 favourite for this one is GOUET DES BRUYERES* (betting odds recorded 21:26 GMT on April 3rd 2021 at William Hill).

He picked up a win on his latest run, which was just three days ago at Wetherby. That means that he is under a 7lb penalty for this effort.

That was a dominant win which he took on Thursday and looks to be the clear one to beat in this contest.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

LICKPENNY LARRY looks the biggest threat to the favourite in this chase. The conditions aren’t totally suited to him, but this isn’t a deep field.

Lickpenny Larry won his latest run, a score at Leicester three weeks ago, which was in a fixture far weaker than this one. He comes up 4lb in the weights.

ARMATTIEKAN is worth consideration for the field as well, although his form is patchy. He has won three of his last six efforts.

The latest win happened in a bumper 2 starts ago. But he followed up with a really poor effort two months ago at Newcastle on a 2m trip. This may not be his optimum trip.

FIZZLESTIX is the current 9/4 favourite for this handicap chase action at Plumpton* (betting odds recorded 21:26 GMT on April 3rd 2021 at William Hill).

This could be quite a competitive race. Fizzlestix scored at course and distance two weeks ago, so he has obvious claims back in action here.

The 9-year-old still looks pretty well handicapped. His mark doesn’t change from that course and distance win, so he could go well again with the same headgear.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

TZAR DE L’ELFE looks like a threat in this one. He claimed a place to finish her at Plumpton on his latest run, in March. He is a previous course and distance winner as well.

But that latest run, his second effort of the campaign, saw him work harder than he should to have gotten that third-place finish. But he should be in the mix.

The other for the shortlist is MANOFTHEMOMENT who is a dual hurdles winner. He got off the market at Warwick last winter.

Manofthemoment rediscovered a bit off from last time out when he scored at Feckenham. He needs to push on even further from that to get a score here but has place claims.

The favourite in horse racing betting for this one is BOOTLEGGER at 2/1* (betting odds recorded 21:26 GMT on April 3rd 2021 at William Hill).

He is looking for a double after getting a win on the board 17 days ago at Doncaster. That was on his second start for this yard.

Bootlegger looked in fine fettle in that one. There is a 7lb rise in the rating now, which means that he is going to have to find a little more.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

FRATERNEL gets the nod as our 9/4 horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 21:26 GMT on April 3rd 2021 at William Hill).

He stayed on brilliantly to score at Hereford last time out on his chasing debut. He is up 9lb after such a good win.

That form has been franked with the second-place finisher from that Hereford win having gone on to win since.

EQUUS DANCER is up for the shortlist as well. He opened the season with back to back wins, both at Sedgefield.

He hasn’t followed up since, perhaps having been found out a little bit by the handicapper. But Equus Dancer does appear to have some solid enough place claims in this one.

KANGAROO POINT is the 4/5 odds-on favourite for this handicap trip at Southwell on Sunday* (betting odds recorded 21:26 GMT on April 3rd 2021 at William Hill).

It has been a fantastic season for him so far, winning all three starts, including at course and distance. The last win was at 2m at Wolverhampton.

That was three weeks ago and he looks to be thriving at the moment for Ian Williams. There has been a further 3lb rise, but he should handle himself in this field in a bid for a four-timer.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

SMART LASS makes a switch from hurdling, the latest of those efforts was a month ago. She is a pretty decent middle-distance stayer. It’s a first go on the fibresand on for Smart Class here, but she could have a big say in this if she handles the surface.

RUSSIAN RUMOUR returns for the first time since November. This 2m trip is likely going to be ideal for her. He has a lot on her plate from a career-high mark, however. That was second over course and distance 16 days. That was a credible enough handicap run and he returns on an unchanged mark.

NATURAL HISTORY is a strong 11/8 favourite in horse racing betting for this Sussex Champion Hurdle run at Plumpton* (betting odds recorded 21:26 GMT on April 3rd 2021 at William Hill).

On his penultimate run, he scored over course and distance. That put him in shape to go to the Imperial Cup as a favourite.

That turned out to be a disaster for Natural History who was well down the field in that Grade 3 hurdle. This is slightly calmer waters for him.

DIEGO DU CHARMIL has a big chance of getting in the mix for this one. He is a classy performer and comes down significantly in grade. He was last seen fading away in the Christmas hurdle at Kempton. Diego Du Charmil gets helped out by a 7lb claimer.

Our horse racing tip is going to be SEBASTOPOL at 9/2* (betting odds recorded 21:26 GMT on April 3rd 2021 at William Hill). He was stretched to his limit at Kelso 4 weeks ago on an extended 20f trip.

So the return down to the 2-mile trip should suit him. Sebastopol is tried with the cheekpieces for the first time.

EURKASH enters this action as the 11/10 favourite in horse racing betting* (betting odds recorded 21:26 GMT on April 3rd 2021 at William Hill).

He was second on his latest run, which was three weeks ago at Banger. That was at course and distance, so there are claims here.

He scored at Bangor in November to get off the mark in this sphere. He sets the standard in this one and could be tough to knock over.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

DILIGENT is not always the most reliable of runners and he was sixth on his reappearance a couple of weeks ago. That was a yard debut and showed pretty well in a field of fifteen to get that. He is still on the hunt for his second win in this sphere, the first happening in 2017.

NO NO CARDINAL would have to be the pick of the rest in this one. He ran well to claim a place finish at Wincanton on his penultimate fixture. If he can tap into that form, then he has a chance at another place. He didn’t fire at all at Taunton on his latest run, so he clearly comes with some risk.
