Race Preview
SALVADOS is a former course winner and will have his second run for his new yard on Thursday.
The yard debut didn’t go great for him, so Salvados needs a revival.
But the handicapper looks to be on his side, plus Zalvados carries a 3lb claimer.
ROAD WARRIOR looks to be the one to beat after taking on Boxing Day and following that up with two good efforts in defeat.
It’s been back to back runner-up finishes for Road Warrior, those both happening at Sedgefield following his win there. He should be close.
THE UNIT is also with a look after taking a place finish the last twice. He is on a long winless streak since 2018.
But the latest effort was very credible at Wincanton in a handicap chase 46 days ago. There could be more to come.

SCARPIA picked up a win at Plumpton last week under the same rider and looks to be right in the mix of things against for Thursday.
Scarpia is at the same mark still and given that his win at Plumpton was so emphatic, he may well set the standard in this one.
WELSH SAINT is interesting after picking up a good third-place finish at Wincanton on his latest effort.
That run, which was three weeks ago, was a massively improved effort for him.
Welsh Saint stays at the same mark and keeps the blinkers that seemed to perk him up so much on his latest.
LORD ROCO is another obvious player in this one and the move to a 3m trip could pull even more from him.
Lord Roco finished strongly at Newcastle three weeks ago to take the victory in novice company.
This is a tough entry mark for him but looks well worth watching in the market.

FAIRLAWN FLYER is seeking a hattrick and had the beating of a key rival in Alkopop on his latest.
It has as well, been back to back course and distance chase wins for Fairlawn Flyer and has to be respected having taken his game to a whole new level since switching to chasing.
ALKOPOP is on better terms against FAIRLAWN FLYER for their match on Thursday.
He was runner up to that rival last time out.
That was the first compiled chase for Alkopop so he’s unexposed and still with plenty of ability and probably improvement to come.
LOOKS LIKE POWER is the other selection that we are looking at for the shortlist. He’s been away for three months but could go well.
Looks Like Power is a former course winner and while his time over the timbers didn’t go great, the move back to chasing will probably give the veteran a decent chance of a revival.

MIDNIGHT GINGER is interesting in this one as she makes a move back up in trip.
There was a score by her at Market Rasen in December and she followed that up with a very good runner up spot at Taunton three weeks ago.
The extra distance may help push her close in this handicap hurdle action.
MINNIE ESCAPE looks a good one for the race as well after a second-place finish at the course and distance 9 days ago.
It’s not always the easiest thing to catch her in the right frame of mind, but she was positive last time out.
Minnie Escape was unlucky to come up against one with huge potential that the handicapper hasn’t caught up with, last time out.
SABBATHICAL rarely puts a foot wrong and has won two of his last four efforts. It’s been a very good season for him.
There was a comfortable score at Exeter for Sabbathical last time out, which was three weeks ago.
That doubled his tally in the sphere and comes up 6lb for this latest challenge.

ELLE ESTE BELLE was last seen in a Grade 2 at Ascot 55 days ago where she wasn’t disgraced with a fourth palace finish.
On her penultimate run, she claimed a win in a Listed mares’ novice fixture at Newbury, taking a big step forward from her debut. She’s not out of this.
WONDERWALL could be a strong player after taking a win at Doncaster last month. That was a big improvement in jumping form over the hurdles from him there.
He now comes up in class for a stronger challenge and will probably be heavily involved in this one.
Depending on if he brings his jumping game or not.
JERRASH is the other shortlisted one and connections fully feel that he is worth pushing up to this higher level.
After a decent bumper effort to kick things off, Jerrash followed up with a win at Ascot in January in a novice hurdle. Claims are there.

THUNDER ROCK could be really tough to knock over in this contest as he is thriving at the moment, seeking a hattrick.
It’s been two comfortable scores over the timbers for Thunder Rock this season.
He still looks like he needs to brush up on his jumping but has claims regardless.
DORKING BOY went well last time out, taking a score at Taunton. That doubled his tally for the campaign.
There is a chance for him in this one as he has only been handed a 3lb rise for that Taunton score.
WILDE ABOUT OSCAR is the final shortlisted one for Thursday’s horse racing betting.
He went well for a long way at Aintree on his reappearance before fading.
His follow up just totally saw him have an off day.
A wind op since his latest and a break of two months gives Wilde About Oscar a chance back in handicapping.
