ANNIE NAIL was a winner last time out and warrants some respect in this contest on Thursday.
That score was in a small field at Fontwell just over a month ago, and she responded very well when more was asked of her.
Annie Nail really didn’t kick on as much as connections would have hoped last season, but a positive reappearance puts her in the frame.
ROYAL PRACTITIONER should be in with a big chance on Thursday after a third-place finish at Uttoxeter on her latest showing.
The form from that has since been boosted. As she makes a return from 2lb lower, Royal Practitioner easily gets on the shortlist.
PRINCESS MIDNIGHT is a good chaser who claimed a win at course and distance a couple of weeks ago when last seen.
That was not the cleanest of jumping performances by her either.
But Princess Midnight comes down in class for this one with some promise and plenty of interest.

SOLO SAXOPHONE could be prominent in this small field as he receives what appears to be a fair 3lb.
He got a win on the board at the course and distance 25 days ago. That too was in a small field on a return to the hurdles.
Solo Saxophone took that score by more than two lengths, so he looks like being the one to beat.
BASHFUL BOY steps up in trip for Thursday’s contest and needs a bit of a bounce back after an off-key performance last time out.
He was tried in blinkers for the first time at Cartmel and didn’t get anything going in that one.
There had been a win for Bashful Boy on his penultimate run, however, getting off the mark for David Pipe at the second time of asking.
IMPERIAL ELYSIAN is worth taking a market check on as he returns to action for the first time in a couple of years.
Back in 2020, he rattled off a hattrick in handicap hurdle efforts, but a poor run in October 2020 at Cheltenham sent him into a break and he hasn’t been seen since.

DYNAMIC KATE is still looking to break her maiden but warrants a place on the shorts in this wide-open contest.
She is now moved up in trip and gets the cheek pieces on for the first time. Dynamic Kate delivered a very encouraging third-place finish at Ffos Las.
Since taking a wind-up last month, she has been well in the frame in each of her five subsequent efforts.
MR WOODY looked very good on his chase debut at Ffos Las 42 days ago and gets on the shortlist for racing tips.
He is only 1lb higher for the switch to the hurdles.
If he carries on the form he showed last time out over the bigger stuff, he’s a clear threat after bolting up.
MEECHLANDS MAGIC is a decent option to consider at some slightly longer odds for horse racing tips.
He fought at Ffos Las last month, a reasonable effort from 4lb out of the weights.
It hasn’t come together yet over the hurdles for Meechlands Magic, but he’s on a very competitive mark.

SOLAR JOE was a winner last time out as he got a score on the board in a handicap at Pontefract.
The pace really played to his favour in that one. Solar Joe gets bumped up 5lb for that winning effort.
Any repeat performance put him in the frame at the very minimum.
JEAN BAPTISTE was a winner last time out as well and looked very good all the way in a Chester handicap score.
That was a month ago, so he’s a little bit refreshed. Jean Baptiste is only up 2lb and has been travelling very smoothly this season.
PISANELLO didn’t quite get the rub of the green last time out when finishing in the middle of a large field at Carlisle three weeks ago.
There was a good score by Pisanello earlier this season at Beverley. A bounce back is likely to get him into the frame.
DRAGONS WILL RISE also warrants some respect in horse racing tips for Thursday as he carries a big 7lb claimer.
The drop in trip will also likely suit him nicely after a good third at Ripon when last seen in June.

FRESH HOPE put in a decent shift at Royal Ascot in the Sandringham last month. She came home sixth.
Fresh Hope didn’t get the best of draws for that win, but there was plenty of encouragement in the effort nonetheless.
The Charlie Fellowes filly did deliver a fantastic win at Doncaster before that trip to Royal Ascot.
She teams up with that winning jockey for Thursday and sets the standard here.
DEVASBOY has won two of his last six efforts and will be looking for a bounce back.
Everything went against him when he delivered a poor show as the favourite at Chester just five days ago.
Devasboy warrants another chance because of that, as there have been positives for him this season.
SPACER is the final one on this shortlist, which looks completely wide open behind Fresh Hope.
Spacer has been eased 2lb after a sixth-place finish at Haydock in a handicap.
He has been gelded since that run and form from that Haydock contest has been boosted.

MAJESTIC FIGHTER is probably going to be a strong player in this contest after a good runner-up spot when last seen.
That win was recorded at Doncaster a couple of months ago.
Majestic Fighter is refreshed and up 3lb after going close, so should be competitive.
MASTER OF COMBAT found a winning touch last time out when he got clear here at Leicester.
He had plenty in the tank top on a great showing three weeks ago.
The handicapper has been on him, however, giving Master Of Combat a tough 8lb addition.
SHALADAR has produced some good form recently, running out of steam in a warm contest at Hamilton last time out.
He had won at the same venue on his penultimate effort in June.
There’s no reason on form, why Shaladar shouldn’t be competitive on Thursday.
