DUBAI LADY is seeking a bounce back performance when she steps out at Newcastle on Thursday.
She is a course and distance winner, landing that on her debut in December.
But a second place finish at Kempton didn’t see her really get on top of her game.
This will be the handicap debut for Dubai Lady and just needs to step it up again to kick on. She is not without a chance.
PLASTIC PADDY is another course and distance winner in this field. That last win for him at Newcastle was in October.
He didn’t quite get the rub of the green in a third place finish at Southwell two weeks ago in a handicap. Plastic Paddy rates as a danger here.
BROCTUNE RED gets on the shortlist as well with plenty of course history.
There have been five C&D wins for him in the past.
Broctune Red was at course and distance fourteen days ago, the pace not being to his favour in that one. He’s likely to be involved.

BERYL THE PERIL was third at a Wolverhampton handicap a couple of weeks ago.
She won at that venue in November. There was a bit of pep in her step at the finish and her form reads good enough to put her in the frame.
Beryl The Peril comes back at the same mark as well and therefore has to be of interest.
TELL’EM NOWT is in good heart at the moment having won twice in his last three runs.
The most recent of those was at a Southwell handicap 9 days ago. Tell’Em Nowt overcame a bad draw in that one to get the win.
He will be under a 5lb penalty for Thursday’s run, but looks in fine shape at the moment.
CLEAR ANGEL is the other selection who should enjoy a return to a 6 trip in this one.
A slow start hampered him right out of the gates at Southwell recently, but he battled gamely. Clear Angel is low mileage still and worth a look.
ORIENTAL LILY is one more selection from this big field. She is a six time course and distance winner, the most recent of those happened in November.
There was a respectable effort from Oriental Lily here at Newcastle a week ago and she could pull herself into the picture.

ZARZYNI looks a strong one and should have a big chance at a score on Thursday if he runs true to form.
He took a score at Redcar last July and on his return took a good runner-up spot here at Southwell thanks to a strong finish.
Zarzyni comes up on trips and rates them as a serious danger in his field which does have a competitive look about it.
TOMMY DE VITO was last in action three months ago taking a win at Kempton in October.
It was like he hadn’t been away for 16 months. But he had, and he looks to have been handled well after a nice break since.
Tommy De Vito has claims in this one because he should have a lot more to offer in handicapping.
MOHAREB is in good heart at the moment and landed a course and distance win in January.
He followed that up 9 days ago with a good third back here at Southwell.
If he continues in the same mood, then there is no reason why he shouldn’t be involved.

SYMBOL OF LIGHT is an odds-on favourite for this one as he looks to complete a hat trick.
Those two wins were in Wolverhampton novices last year. He steps into his handicap debut at top weight but with a stack of potential.
KING OF YORK stays at the same mark as he was for a second-place finish in a Southwell handicap 11 days ago.
King Of York is still looking to get off the mark, but has been firmly in the frame the last twice so isn’t far away.
MAYFAIR STROLL was in good form last season, winning two of her final four runs of the year.
The most recent was in August at Newmarket. She took on Listed company in her final effort on a 1m trip and wasn’t disgraced with a fifth place finish.
Mayfair Stroll will go on the tapeta for the first time in her career on Thursday.

THE PADDY PIE has put in a couple of credible runs the last twice as he looks to break a long winless streak.
The lack of victories of course means that he has fallen down the weights.
There are signs that he potentially has hit a workable mark now.
The Paddy Pie takes a drop in the trip as well, further pulling him into the frame potentially.
MR WHIPPED looks to be on a very handy mark and could find himself involved on the weekend.
He is lightly raced over the last couple of years, but there was a nice third palace finish from him at course and distance last month.
REALM KEEPER should have a heavy hand in this contest after winning two of his last three.
He missed out on a hat trick chance with a below par effort at Aintree when last seen in March last year.
Realm Keeper has had a wind op since being away and his yard is in excellent form at the moment.

On a longer trip she went close back at the same venue on her follow up. There’s plenty to like about her.
MAID O’MALLEY is another that is going well at the moment as she looks to get off the mark.
It’s been a run of four straight runner-up spots for her. The last two have been at Newcastle, and she probably won’t be far away again.
LADY OF THE NIGHT looks to be on a tough, high mark for her entry in this one.
She scored at Fontwell in December after a break of 10 months. Her follow-up at Ludlow wasn’t as good, but it may have come too soon.
Lady Of The Night looks as if she is well-built for chasing, but has a lot on her hands from this opening mark, conceding weight to all.
