Today’s Horse Racing Tip

INDIAN CREAK has to be a big player in this one and has to enter the picture at 3/1* (betting odds recorded 21:05 on June 30th 2021 at Coral).

Out of the runners in this one, he is the only one that has scored at the course before. He enters back into action after a score at Windsor a month ago.

But we have a little preference for MUSCIKA at 9/2* (betting odds recorded 21:05 on June 30th 2021 at Coral). That’s because he went close on Derby Day here.

That was over course and distance and he just fell short to the impressive EJTILAAB in that one. It was a run that possibly came too soon, so we think that he has a bigger shot in this one.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

SWEET REWARD may take some beating in this one and is our 2/1 horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 21:05 on June 30th 2021 at Coral).

He is thriving at the moment after scoring back to back wins at Sandown over this 10f trip. He has been let off lightly with only a 2lb rise as well.

So the hattrick should be well within the scope of SWEET REWARD on Thursday. He seems to be getting better and better.

There is likely going to be a solid challenge from GOLD SOUK as well after scoring at Lingfield in May. That was after coming down in the ratings a bit and taking full advantage of that.

On his follow up Gold Souk, who is a former winner at Epsom, was a close second back at Linfield and brings very solid claims.

Rounding out the options for the shortlist in this contest will be BAD COMPANY who doesn’t look to be too far away from a return to winning ways.

This is a deeper field and the current market leader HESPERIS has been showing improvement lately. So we expect her to be in the thick of this one as she looks to get off the mark.

Hesperis only just missed out on a straight win at Yarmouth three weeks ago. She was subsequently handed the victory by the stewards afterwards. There’s plenty of promise there still.

But it is SCARBOROUGH CASTLE who gets the nod as our horse racing tip at 9/2* (betting odds recorded 21:05 on June 30th 2021 at Coral).

He put together a very good run for a new yard. That was a third-place finish at Kempton in a handicap three weeks ago.

Scarborough Castle was never in an ideal position in that one. He steps onto the turf for the first time in this one and has some big claims.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

There are plenty with decent claims stepping into this handicap at Perth. FINISK RIVER offers plenty of interest at 9/2 as a horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 21:05 on June 30th 2021 at Coral).

He takes a drop in grade after a run at Cartmel last time out, so this is calmer waters for him. He runs at a reduced mark as well.

That should help as while there hasn’t been much on show in handicapping from him, that falling rating is bound to pay off soon.

MALANGEN has been going well lately and looks to build upon a second-place finish landed here at Perth 12 days ago.

That was a good return to form from him because he had been struggling for form since winning at Southwell over the timbers last summer.

FOR THREE was another one who improved last time out and can get himself into the picture.

He gets the cheekpieces for the first time and is up only 1lb for a second-place at Hexham nearly three weeks ago.

Following a return to winning ways recently, we can’t look past AS YOU LIKE for this contest.

He is the current 5/2 pick as a horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 21:05 on June 30th 2021 at Coral).

As You Like scored at Worcester 26 days and he improved as the race went on, delivering a very strong finish. If he’s back near that form, then he will likely take down this field.

There is a 5lb rise that As You Like has to deal with in this one. But this field does not look to be that deep that he can’t defy that rise.

CUNEO could be within range in this contest. He was third over course and distance 12 days ago.

He didn’t look to be in the right frame of mind on the day either, so could be better this time around.

There are quite a few with something to prove in his contest. OCEAN COVE is one for them, but we think that he has place claims.

He hasn’t quite been back on his game since his return, producing a couple of below-par efforts. It may not take much for him to bounce back though.

FOR JIM is on a bid for a hattrick so naturally, he is going to take some big focus here. He has started to go from strength to strength.

There has been a bit further 7lb rise for him after scoring at Hexham with the blinkers on recently. Will he be able to defy that rise?

Another that has taken a big rise in the rating is HITMAN FRED who has been slapped with a 10lb rise. That was after a superbly dominated win over course and distance 12 days ago.

Hitman Fred is a quote of 4/1 to get the win* (betting odds recorded 21:05 on June 30th 2021 at Coral).

It’s been two wins from three for Hitman Fred over the fences here and has to still be kept on side. It may come down to which of those two gets to grips with the weight hike better.

But there is another that is in play here and that is MORE BUCK’S. He looks to be sitting on a workable mark here as he comes back to the fences.

He is on a reduced mark actually and that puts him right in the picture for us.
