Today’s Horse Racing Tip

Another bold effort is expected of THE CITY’S PHANTOM on Tuesday. He picked up a victory on his latest effort, a reappearance score at Yarmouth.

But this is quite a deep field here and we would take a chance of POLYPHONY on her return to action at 12/1* (betting odds recorded 23:09 GMT on May 31st 2021 at William Hill).

She signed off last year with a win, getting a score at Wolverhampton in December.

She followed that up with a third place finish thanks to a credible effort back at the same venue a month later.

Polyphony returns to action after 126 days off, but there is every indication that she could be a strong player. So she makes a good horse racing tip.

Another that could find enough to get the in frame is CROESO CYMRAEG following good second place over course and distance two weeks ago.

Today’s Horse Racing Tip

Just about everyone in this field has a reasonable shot. NOT ON YOUR NELLIE bolted up to win at Catterick 55 days ago and has been hit with a 10lb rise.

NOORBAN delivered a win as she just held on to score at Ayr on her latest run, fulfilling a bit of progress in that one. She comes up 4lb.

But our horse racing tip is going to be BALLINTOY HARBOUR at 11/4* (betting odds recorded 23:09 GMT on May 31st 2021 at William Hill).

It has been a good introduction to life as a 3 year old as she took a win at Newcastle 49 days ago. That built on her win in her final run as a 2 year old.

She looks fantastic and for her handicap debut, a mark of 80 doesn’t look unreasonable. She kept on very well in that Newcastle minor event.

CLOUDY DAWN gets the nod from us at 10/11 as a horse racing tip* (betting odds recorded 23:09 GMT on May 31st 2021 at William Hill).

It’s hard to see past her chances after scoring at Lingfield as the favourite on her latest effort. That’s two wins from two now in her career.

That Lingfield score was a 6f in a novice event and there should be plenty more to come from her on her handicap debut.

An opening mark of 80 is about right and we think that she just about gets there. SMEATON’S LIGHT will find it easier here after dropping in class.

The other to stick on the shortlist is going to be COPINET who finished well at Nottingham in April, so the step up in trip is likely to suit very well.

Arriving in top form is KENDERGARTEN KOP and that recent form has been delivered here. He was last seen on Friday completing a hattrick under a 5lb penalty.

But this is a very short turnaround time for him so we are going to LADY QUICKSTEP at 10/1* (betting odds recorded 23:09 GMT on May 31st 2021 at William Hill).

She was fifth here in a handicap over course and distance on her last run. It was a poor run but that can be excused. That was 35 days ago.

The last win that Lady Quickstep posted was in January at Wolverhampton. Connections have given her the visor now which could bring more out of her.

She has enough to make her presence felt in this one and makes for a good each way horse racing tip.

We don’t see anything wrong with the form of GLASVEGAS as a 4/1 option at Brighton on Monday* (betting odds recorded 23:09 GMT on May 31st 2021 at William Hill).

It has been an excellent 2021 from him, scoring three times from six races so far.

The last of those was over course and distance 35 days ago. So there are big claims here for him, as Glasvegas is up just 1lb from that latest effort.

Another to watch is DE VEGAS KID who has won four times at Brighton before, so he has to be on the radar.

The other is the more obvious pick of ARABIC CHARM who looks to get off the mark on the turf.

ZWELELA has plenty of appeal for this contest. She was last seen taking on a mile and that was just too much for her.

So the drop back of a furlong looks the right move for her. So that effort at Newmarket a month ago can be scratched.

Zwelela has won two of four runs this year. Richard Hannon’s filly looks ready to resume her progress.

Another of the stronger contenders could be RED FASCINATOR who is eased in class for this contest.
