There is a good card at Exeter on Tuesday and we will be looking at some of the highlights of it for today’s horse racing tips.
Along with four selections from over the jumps at the venue, including the Grade 2 Haldon Gold Cup, we turn attention to Redcar also.
It’s two flat picks from the latter venue for Tuesday’s UK racing.

French funner HITMAN looked very good last season in the novice arena and will attract attention on Tuesday in horse racing betting.
There has been a wind op for him since he was last seen taking a third place Grade 1 finish at Aintree in April.
On that occasion, Hitman’s stamina looked to be pushed to the limit. The drop in trip and progressive novice form puts him bang in this.
MOONLIGHTER could be the biggest challenger to the favourite in the Haldon Gold Cup.
He is also making his reappearance. Moonlighter was last seen at the Cheltenham Festival when he pulled up in March.
Ther was a good effort from him to win at Newbury last season and he was a very close second in this race last year. Moonlighter therefore should enter calculations.
The other shortlist one is ELDORADO ALLEN who does have something to prove. He comes in fresh after a six-month break.
There were positives from Eldorado Allen last season, taking wins over the fences at Newton Abbot and Cheltenham (Grade 2). He has it in him.

It’s only four runners then for the Silver Bowl Novices’ Chase at Exeter on Tuesday.
ASK A HONEY BEE is a reliable hurdler and looked decent on his reappearance stepping into chasing for the first time.
That was 18 days ago at Uttoxeter and that run showed plenty of promise. There could be more to come from Ask A Honey Bee.
If we look at form over the hurdles alone, then HONEST VIC can boast the best record of those in this field.
He has won a 3m before and put in a good shift on his chase debut at Chepstow 25 days ago to take third.
THREEUNDERTHRUFIVE could be a big player. He was thriving over the hurdles last season, winning four times in that sphere.
He made his debut over the fences 25 days ago with a second-place finish at Chepstow.

The popular POPPA POUTINE should be a strong contender in this stayers’ contest at Exeter on Tuesday.
He signed off last season with a victory in a Catterick handicap. T
hat was one of two wins that he put on the board over the hurdles in the previous campaign.
If he’s tuned up well for this reappearance, then Poppa Poutine is likely to be in this one. It will be the chase debut for him.
DE NAME EVADES ME is worth consideration as well as he is fairly low mileage for a 9-year-old.
There was a good course and distance second place finish for him on his last turn. But that was almost two years ago. Regardless, he has performed before and makes for an intriguing entry.
PILBARA is the other one that gets on the shortlist for this contest.
He scored at Fontwell a month ago and that just saw him continue with some further excellent form this season. Pilbara is not to be written off.
Nor EDE’IFFS ELTON who was last seen in January picking up a win at Wincanton for a double there at the venue.
He’s low mileage and could enter calculations if the absence isn’t a problem.

This is a wide-open field but one of the key contenders could turn out to be MARTHA BRAE.
She was last seen in May turning out a poor effort in a Fontwell handicap chase.
But she makes the return to the hurdles and is on a reduced mark. That’s two big factors that could pull her into things.
CHANTILLY HAZE has gone well the last twice, taking back to back runner up spots. She has been rested since the spring, and potential is there.
KENTFORD MALLARD wasn’t quite at her best three weeks ago at Hereford in which she took a third place finish.
There was a victory for Kentford Mallard at Southwell in June and the two immediate races after that she went well in.
She could be considered for a bounce-back performance.
POGO I AM is the final one that is being considered for the shortlist.
She failed to add a win to her reappearances success at Stratford last season. B
ut with a reappearance run under her belt a month ago at Warwick, she could be better for having had that. Pogo I Am could thrive in this sort of weak contest.

BARYSHNIKOV last claimed a victory back in June when getting himself in front at Ripon.
There has been reasonable enough form from him since then to suggest that he can feature strongly on Tuesday.
He ran into big trouble at York on his latest effort, which was three weeks ago. But he is likely to be sharp and ready to go again.
BARSHAA is another that looks like getting right in this as she is sitting on a hat-trick chance.
So with her thriving and winning at Bath two weeks ago, she has a chance.
That Bath effort panned out well for her in terms of being placed, but at this longer trip for Tuesday, she looks like a very good fit and a big threat.
SPIRIT DANCER was well-positioned at York in claiming a fourth-place finish three weeks ago.
He continues to look in good heart at the moment as he looks to add to his Newcastle win recorded in June. He probably won’t be far away.
We are going to consider one more for the shortlist in horse racing betting which is DUBAI SOUQ.
He ran superbly well to claim a runner up spot at Yarmouth 47 days ago. Dubai Souq is on a threatening mark for Tuesday.

13:40 Redcar Handicap Horse Racing Tip

LEGAL REFORM was on top of his game a week ago in picking up a score at Catterick. He carries a 5lb penalty as he is sound out quickly one again.
Legal Reform has just looked on the up and up this season. Even with the penalty, he may be pretty tough to stop.
ERICH BLOCH isn’t without a chance after a good third behind Legal Reform in that Catterick contest recently.
The weights are more favourable for him this time around against that rival and so has to enter calculations.
TRUE BLUE MOON was second at Pontreact a couple of weeks ago in a cagey test of stamina. It was a good performance from him which gets him on the shortlist.
MAYWAKE comes in for his handicap debut and can’t be counted out of this either. He has been in the frame in most of his novice efforts and is worth consideration.
Another to watch is BRONZE RIVER who is a course and distance winner, last picking up a success here in October.
He was out of the picture at Newcastle 8 days ago as he was left poorly placed. Bronze River can’t be dismissed.
