ZAMBELLA is the market leader for this Mares’ Chase at Leicester at 5/6* (betting odds recorded 18:46 GMT on Tuesday, 12th January 2021 at Bet365).

The six year old has struck in both of her chase efforts so far and the latest of those was at Warwick in December last year. That was a score that she took by 4 lengths as well.

The other victory that she took was at Bangor-on-Dee. Zambella is a really bold jumper and is the one to beat in this field.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

CUT THE MUSTARD is the biggest threat to the favourite. On her debut for Paul Nicholls, she shaped very well to take a second-place finish at Doncaster over a 2m 4f trip. There was plenty of promise there and the drop in distance makes her a bigger threat.

SACRE COEUR gets the hood on for the first time and with some decent chase form behind her from France, isn’t totally out of the picture.

NORTHERN BEAUTY has yet to really threaten a victory this season but battled to a fourth-place of five in a Haydock listed effort last time out.

That win happened in a Hexham Handicap Chase 35 days ago. The visor from that score stays on and he is well handicapped here to launch another bold bid. But he hasn’t shaken off the attention of LORD SPARKY in the market at the moment.

That happened at Fakenham in some heavy conditions and it was a score that he took by more than four lengths. So Pride Of Pemberley gets a 7lb penalty after that, but he still has plenty to work with.

MARCH IS ON has performed well recently in efforts at Wetherby and Huntingdon. He was beaten in both of them, but there was a lot of promise shown by the Jonjo O’Neill-trained gelding.

Richard Johson stays in the saddle and he looks to have enough at the moment to warrant respect from 5/1* (betting odds recorded 18:46 GMT on Tuesday, 12th January 2021 at Bet365).

KATHADIN could be heading in the right direction and is worth a look in this field. Hre produced a good second place at Southwell in a handicap contest in some heavy going last time out.

That was in December last year over the hurdles when he was beaten by a nose. Katahdin carries a 7lb claimer which could help his cause.

High Up In The Air is looking a threat at the moment as he is seeking to complete a hattrick. Since stepping into chasing he has come on leaps and bounds.

The first score that he took was on a 2m trip at Lingfield and then dominated here on his follow up over 19f.

There should be even further improvement to follow and High Up In The Air commands respect from a position of being under a 7lb penalty.

HOLD ME TIGHT warrants a look as well. He is coming back to his best distance and that we think, will put him back in the picture.

Hold Me Tight has yet to get off the mark but he is in decent enough shape. He was last seen taking sixth place in a Strafford Handicap. He should have more to offer.

EURKASH gets a 6lb rise after he opened his account in a Bangor handicap chase a month ago. The seven year old poses a nice threat here because that has been two very good efforts since coming into chasing.

We think that he has enough to get very close, but still, we’re sticking with the favourite.
