KAUTO THE KING has not put a foot wrong in this campaign and is going from strength to strength.
This run on Wednesday is made harder by a 4lb rise that he has been handed for his latest win.
But that doesn’t necessarily look like slowing him up. That latest win was a decisive score at Newton Abbot three weeks ago, completing a hattrick.
TEXARD is a fair challenger to the favourite in this one as he has also come on leaps and bounds this season.
He comes up 5lb for a score here at Uttoxeter 17 days ago. Texard was a proven one over in France over the fences.
He’s now off the mark for David Pipe and rates as a danger here, because this is his sort of distance.
SEDDON is the final one on the shortlist for this small field. He did land a win at Newton Abbot back in April.
That took his tally over the fences to two. Seddon was poor last time out however and faces two red-hot rivals.

YOU NAME HIM completed a hattrick last time out when he scored at Southwell 16 days ago.
In this winning streak, You Name Him has also taken a course and distance win. That was on his first run for Rebecca Menzies.
You Name Him still looks to have plenty to come as well, so easily gets on the shortlist.
NEACHELLS BRIDGE was a winner last time out when he got his nose in front at Ffos Las three weeks ago.
He took full advantage of a drop in the ratings to get that. The veteran is moved back up 4lb but looks competitive.
MR YEATS is the other one to consider in this handicap hurdle as he has been in good form recently.
There was a victory at Ludlow recorded by him in May. He’s rattled the crossbar in both efforts since then, so he should be a player in midweek.

JUDGE EARLE has come into some nice form, notably appearing to be a bit calmer.
The veteran took a win at Ffos Las on his penultimate run before going close at Worcester on a follow-up effort from 7lb higher.
MIDNIGHT GLANCE is on the shortlist for horse racing tips as well on Wednesday.
He had a credible effort over the fences at Hexham a couple of months ago. That was his first go at chasing.
So there could be more to come from him. Midnight Glance was a three-time winner over the hurdles.
GO ALL THE WAY is likely to put himself in the frame in this one after a good third-place finish 41 days ago.
That was his first run for a new yard and it was at course and distance in a handicap. That hints that he will be competitive on Wednesday.

VIN ROUGE should be a big player in this contest and is the first name on the shortlist for racing tips.
He will be seeking a hattrick after really getting his act together for Willie Mullins. Vin Rouge is improving and the latest of his wins was at Kempton three weeks ago.
He was nice and keen in that one and the former course and distance winner is clearly going places.
STORM CHASER looks competitive enough to also get in the frame in this very warm contest.
She scored at Nottingham last month and was last seen taking a fourth at Doncaster 12 days ago. That was only two days after a previous run.
TRALEE HILLS has won before here at Lingfield so also gets himself on the shortlist.
He wasn’t great at this venue 25 days ago on a shorter trip. This longer effort is likely to see Trallee Hills arrive in a better light.
There is a useful 3lb claimer on his back as well, which gives him some reasonable place claims.

SPANGLED MAC has won two of four efforts this year and the latest of those was a week ago.
It was recorded at Kempton on a longer 7d trip. There’s no penalty earned for that and William Buick now takes over as well.
BOADICEA BELLE won at Chelmsford City in April and put together a credible shift last time.
She was fourth at Newmarket in a handicap effort 25 days ago. Boadicea Belle takes a slight drop of 1lb and should be close.
NOYA won at Kempton back in April and has failed to add to that tally in three efforts since then.
But she stays at the same mark as she was when taking a fourth place finish in a Newbury handicap two weeks ago.

That was last month and she followed up with a good second back at C&D in a minor event three weeks ago. Torious was close there and she is probably going to remain competitive.
LINCOLN RED is another former course and distance winner and put in an encouraging run last time out as well.
She was a very close runner-up in a handicap at the course and distance three weeks ago. Lincoln Red should be back in the picture.
HEER’S SADIE was a runner-up a couple of weeks ago in a handicap here at Yarmouth.
She is another former course and distance winner. A nice balanced effort from her under a more patient ride is probably going to get Heer’s Sadie close.
