There are a few Class 3 races around, that are the top level of race cards that we put into focus on Wednesday.

BALKINGSTOWN has found some very nice form this season, picking up a win recently at course and distance.
That was 10 days ago and he held on well to pull it out over the fences. It’s been a positive season and Balkingstown should make another good fist of things as he switches to the timbers.
ROOKIE TRAINER also brings some winning form to the table after a course and distance success 55 days ago.
That was a nice return to the timbers after struggling in chases. He’s been refreshed since then, which may help as he comes up 5lb for that win.
THUNDERSTRUCK opened this season with a good runner-up effort, offering some encouragement.
A poor round over the hurdles tripped him up on his follow-up. He needs a bounce back from that effort, but Thunderstruck is capable if he can put a clean round in.

He has some reasonable claims in this small field. Sheer Rocks is a former course and distance winner.
ETON COLLEGE put in a good third-place finish in a course and distance handicap a week ago.
It’s been a fair while since he has gotten his nose in front. But with a 3lb claimer and a step forward in form, he rates as a danger.
LYNDON B finished a palace behind Sheer Rocks at Sandown last time out. But that was only by a neck.
So they could be evenly matched again. The cause of Lyndon B will be helped by a further slide in the weights.

DubAI WELCOME was in action earlier this month, taking a credible runners-up spot at course and distance.
That gives him some obvious claims as he returns and retains the cheek pieces. That recent C&D effort was after 18 months away.
NAO DA MAIS went close from this mark a week ago here at Kempton on a shorter trip.
That was an excellent effort from him. If he produces a repeat of that kind of form, Na Da Mais could have a chance as he comes up on the trip.
FINDONO is unexpected but has been showing signs of reasonable progress. This will be his handicap debut.
Findono was a third-place finisher at Sandown three weeks ago, launching his bid too soon. The extra trip is a boost.

GREY FOX should have a reasonable chance here after finding a winning touch last time out.
That was a score at Windsor two weeks ago, a career-best effort. A small rise keeps Grey Fox well in contention for a follow-up.
BILLY MILL picked up a course and distance win on his latest run, so should be another of the key contenders.
He gets a rise of 3lb from the assessor following that. Should Billy Mill put in a repeat performance he is going to be tough to knock over.
ALTO VOLANTE is one to watch because he looked like he needed his reappearance run, which was 71 days ago.
That was also the first run for a new yard. The breeding is in Alto Volante to suggest that he can bring place claims.

PRIMO’S COMET is a five-time course and distance winner, giving him some claims.
It has not been the greatest of campaigns by him to be fair. But Primo’s Closet is 2lb below his last winning mark.
RORY was fourth at the course and distance just two days ago. The obvious concern is the quick turnaround.
But that was a credible run and the field looks a bit thinner in this contest. Rory did claim a victory last month at Hamilton.
MILITIA is another shortlisted one for horse racing tips. There are three course and distance wins on his record.
He scored at Catterick on his penultimate run, which was last month. Militia takes a drop in class and rates as an obvious danger.

RATHBONE was the winner of last year’s renewal of this race and he was only 1lb higher for that.
There have been a couple of wins here at Thirsk for Rathbone before. His latest win was in April at Doncaster. He easily books a shortlist spot for racing rips.
MOJOMAKER is not to be totally dismissed in this one as there could have been excesses last time out.
The soft ground did seem to catch him out at York 49 days ago. Before that, he had produced a good runner-up and could get himself back on track.
CAIRN GORM was a fourth-place finish at Windsor two weeks ago, which was his first run after a break.
It was also his first run for a new yard. He is down 2lb from that Windsor effort, and he should be that much better for it.
