The race favourite for this opening act of our Wednesday UK racing betting preview is LAND OF WINTER.

He is currently sat at 15/8 to score* (betting odds taken from Betway at 23:11 GMT on Tuesday, 27th October 2020).

There are more than reasonable claims there as he is a wonderfully consistent horst. After taking a runner-up finish on his reappearance, he followed up with a score at Goodwood. That was just over a couple of weeks ago.

Land Of Winter showed a good fighting temperament to get that score as well in a field of nine. He hasn’t been outside of the top-two in any of his last six efforts, so leading claims are there, despite a 6lb rise.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

Another to consider is C’EST NO MOUR who scored on his last run, which was at Bath. The drop back to this very distance was the key to that one. It was the third score in eight runs that he has had this season.

That recent win was two weeks ago and like the favourite, is very reliable in terms of consistency. He’s not been harshly treated by the assessor so he should be a player.

We would fancy MUTELLIE to give another good account of himself. He scored back in September at Haydock from an 11/1 SP. Then he went well again on his last run, to score a runner up spot at Red Card in a 14f handicap. Mutellie claims 7lb for jockey Ella McCain in this one.

Heading up this small field is MICK PASTOR at 8/15* (betting odds taken from Betway at 23:11 GMT on Tuesday, 27th October 2020). So we have an overwhelming favourite to look at in this novices’ chase.

Mick Paster, trained by Paul Nicholls, will be making his reappearance in this one. He has received 9lb and this will be his first run since March at Cheltenham.

He was around the middle of the pack in the end there, but does appear to be the pick of the bunch. If he takes his hurdles form forward, then he should be just about there.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

The main contender to the favourite is likely going to be GAELIK COAST. He was going well at the end of last season over the hurdles.

A former pointer winner, Gaelik Coast has to warrant some respect in this fixture. He came good with back to back hurdles successes at Doncaster and Bangor in novices events earlier this year.

He’s a player. Gaelik Coast looks to be where the value is at from 7/2* (betting odds taken from Betway at 23:11 GMT on Tuesday, 27th October 2020).

IMPERIL shouldn’t be underestimated. He was fourth in a handicap on his last effort in March on a 2m trip. That followed up a win as well, so a decent case can be made for the French runner.

TIMETOCHILL is another that was coming on well in hurdles last season. He will need more than what he showed on a disappointing chase debut in August.

FRIEND OR FOE currently heads the market at 7/4* (betting odds taken from Betway at 23:11 GMT on Tuesday, 27th October 2020). He didn’t get a run at all last season, but finally returned to action earlier this month.

He didn’t look as if he had missed a beat either. That’s because he collected a second place finish in a field of eight at Chepstow. That was in a 2m contest.

So that was a superb returning effort and as he stays at the same mark, Friend Or Foe brings big claims to the table.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

GET BACK GET BACK has put together some good form this season. This year he has scored a couple of hurdles wins at Uttoxeter and Plumpton.

On his last run he was a runner up at Wincanton at 15f, battling hard all the way. He managed to keep Andaleep behind him in that one.

ANDALEEP was narrowly behind Get Back Get Back at Wincanton. So that means he is probably going to be a big danger in this one as well.

That was his seasonal reappearance, so Get Back Get Back should be that much the better for it. He has a big advantage in the handicapping to his rivals in this one, so is likely to be in the frame.

The leader in the market is EARTH LEADER at 11/4* (betting odds taken from Betway at 23:11 GMT on Tuesday, 27th October 2020). He was brilliant over the hurdles last year and he will be going off for the first time for Harry Fry.

He claimed six wins between the flags and landed a couple of hunter chases. Earth Leader is coming into his handicap chase debut in this one and looks a very good fit. There is a stack of potential there to come in this sphere.

Earth Leader was last seen taking a runner up spot in a Wincanton chase in January on a 3m 1f trip. There are leading claims.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

FROM THE HEART is a former course and distance winner. On his reappearance this season he was heavily beaten.

But it turns out that it may just have been the refresher of a run that he needed to kick on. That’s because From The Heart scored in his follow up run at Chepstow, returning to great form.

There is a 5lb rise on board from that, but that’s manageable and the goes into action as our pick from 11/2* (betting odds taken from Betway at 23:11 GMT on Tuesday, 27th October 2020).

The form of SCHNABEL can’t be ignored either. He won a couple of times over the hurdles and for his new yard, he has claimed handicap chase wins at Uttoxeter and Fontwell.

Schnabel has a 5lb claimer on his back as well and retains the cheekpieces. He can’t be written off at all in this line up.

This is the final race of our Wednesday UK horse racing betting preview. INDIGO TIMES is the current 13/8 leader* (betting odds taken from Betway at 23:11 GMT on Tuesday, 27th October 2020).

He will be seeking the completion of a hattrick when he lines up in this one. The most recent success came for him three weeks ago at Chelmsford. He was going away from the field still when he scored there at the 2m distance.

That’s two wins from six this year. It’s likely that Indigo Times will be in the frame again as his current form cannot be dismissed.

UK Racing Odds & Tips

REALLY SUPER should be a player in this contest as well. He is another that scored on his latest run. That was in a 10-runner Chelmsford City contest 41 days ago.

That success came straight after a second-place finish on his seasonal reappearance. He looks to have plenty in the tank to challenge with in this one.

Really Super was due to go at Aintree on Saturday, but was declared a non-runner.

This year’s Summer Plate winner has plenty of appeal from 7/4* (betting odds taken from Betway at 23:11 GMT on Tuesday, 27th October 2020).

The field gets a little bit weaker after those two. The other that would pick to pull something out to get in the frame would be DANCE TO PARIS. She has Hollie Doyle taking the ride.

Dance To Paris has been in the frame in three of her last four runs. There was a struggle on her last trip, a Yarmouth handicap 41 days ago. Could be the best of the rest in this one however.
