There are 9 declared for this contest with WEMBLEY currently leading the way as a strong favourite.

Doncaster Futurity Trophy Stakes

The favourite for this one is WEMBLEY at 6/4* (betting odds taken from Bet365 on October 23rd, 2020 at 23:35 GMT).

There has been some cracking form produced by him, and he is still on the upward trajectory as well.

In the last two runs, he has taken a runner up place at the National Stakes and then in the Dewhurst at Newmarket. So he has been in the frame and he looks to be the one to beat.

The consistency has certainly been there from him this year. So Wembley is likely to get close to the win in this one given the company the performances that he has produced recently.

He may take some beating in this one.

One Ruler will give a bold account

Moving up to a mile certainly suited ONE RULER when he collected the win in August at the Autumn Stakes at Sandown.

He impressed even further on his last run when he went into Group 3 action at Newmarket a couple of weeks ago.

He got the score there and sandwiched between those two runs was a good effort at the Flying Scotsman during the St Leger meeting here.

So it is likely that he is going to be in the frame and can pose a big threat with a bold run here.

One Ruler is certainly worth keeping on the shortlist at 10/3* (betting odds taken from Bet365 on October 23rd, 2020 at 23:35 GMT).

Magellan likely to be in the frame

This will be the fifth race track appearance for MAGELLAN and he brings some good place claims to the table. In August he delivered a win on his debut which was at Newmarket.

Back there at the Autumn Stakes for his most recent run, Magellan was fourth.

That was behind winner ONE RULER in the contest, but he shaped better during the race than the result that he took. That was a couple of weeks ago under the same conditions.

We aren’t entirely expecting him to go and turn the tables, but he can make the places from 11/1* (betting odds taken from Bet365 on October 23rd, 2020 at 23:35 GMT).

State Of Rest should make his presence felt

Another with some decent claims coming to the table in this one is STATE OF REST. He got off the mark at the first time of asking, which was at Fairyhouse back in June.

However, he has not picked up another score to follow up.

But State Of Rest left with a good impression made here at Doncaster on a 7f trip in the Champagne Stakes last time out.

He collected a third place there, just over a length back of the winner CHINDIT.

The win may be out of reach, but place claims are definitely there.

Can King Vega find something more?

KING VEGA is worth a look as one of the options in this field. He has only had the two trips, both result in runners-up places.

The latest of those was in Sandown’s Group 3 Solario, so he made a good impression there.

He looks to have plenty of potential but is going to need to find something above and beyond what he has produced so far.

King Vega is a 5/1 punt* (betting odds taken from Bet365 on October 23rd, 2020 at 23:35 GMT).

The Rest Of The Runners

BARADAR looks to have way too much to find on a big step up in class here. It has been a positive start to his career though, with two wins in three.

The most recent of those was a couple of weeks ago in a York minor event.

COBH is another that is going to have to produce more. In August he scored a win at Salisbury in a Listed fixture.

He went well on his last run as well which was at Newmarket in the Royal Lodge over a 1m trip.

EMPEROR SUPREME is twice-ran maiden who should handle the step up in trip. It’s unlikely that he’s going to handle the level of competition that he faces.

It has been third place finishes in both of his runs so far.

MAC SWINEY has posted a couple of minor wins from his five trips. He did actually beat Wembley in a Corragh maiden in July and on his penultimate run, landed the Futurity Stakes.

But in among all of that he has been well held a couple of times, as he was on his latest run, and is likely to come up short.

Predictions & Tips for Doncaster Futurity Trophy Stakes Racing Odds

This is not the deepest of fields in all fairness. We can’t look past WEMBLEY at the head of it in this one.

He sets the standard at 6/4 and has produced such wonderful consistency and form that he’s likely to deliver in his one* (betting odds taken from Bet365 on October 23rd, 2020 at 23:35 GMT)..

Picking out a couple that could get close to him, the first would have to be ONE RULER. He has enough to play a big role in this fixture after a good Group 3 score last time out.

STATE OF REST would join him on the list as one most likely to push hard for a money spot.
