Amir Khan is back at the start of a new journey. He has been talking lately about how much he wants to be crowned World Champion once again. The 31-year-old will take on Colombia’s Samuel Vargas on the weekend in Birmingham and he will be under pressure to perform. He has too if he wasnt to get the step back up to picking a more lucrative and high profile fight later in the year.

In his last match, he took on Canadian Phil Lo Greco and smashed his opponent in less than 40-seconds into the fight. So there’s really no gauge as to exactly where he is at.
Kahn is on the road back to the top following his defeat in his big shot against Canelo Alvarez in May 2016 which just stopped him in his tracks. That was the third knockout of Khan’s career, the others coming against Danny Garcia and Breidis Prescott, interestingly a Colombian who pulled off a shock win over Khan back in 2008.

Prediction
We see a straight forward victory coming for Khan but it is a strange situation where he probably won’t want to finish this too quickly, but show that he has the skills to showcase for bigger challenge. Still, he should finish it under 8.5 rounds.
