WESTOVER may be the one to beat in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes on Saturday at Ascot.

He arrives after a stunning victory in the Irish Derby in June.

The 3-year-old gets a weight allowance on Saturday helping his claims in this one.

Westover claimed the win at the Curragh by more than seven lengths, so it was a huge, huge score.

He had opened the season with a victory in the Group 3 Classic Trial at Sandown.

That was then followed by an extremely credible place finish in the Epsom Derby, a race in which he did meet some trouble

MISHRIFF has three previous Group 1 victories under his belt and the most recent one of them was this time last year.

He claimed the score in the Juddmonte International at York. It was a victory recorded spectacularly as well.

Mishriff was last seen three weeks ago in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown.

That return was after a break of four months, and he ran into some trouble in that one on a bit of a luckless effort.

But he has some big claims on Saturday and a clear run will see him getting close.

EMILY UPJOHN is not without a shout in this one, although she will get tested now against the boys.

It was three wins from three for her when she landed the Musidora at York.

She probably would have extended her winning streak had it not been for a poor start in the Epsom Oaks.

Emily Upjohn had conceded a lot of ground in stumbling out of the stalls and had to go wide to try and make up ground.

She is extremely high-class and should be right in the mix without too many questions.

Emily Upjohn missed her assignment at the Irish Oaks recently because of transportation issues.

Tip: MISHRIFF 7/4

Ones to watch: Westover 6/4, Emily Upjohn 11/4

GLENLAUREL did an excellent job on her debut, picking up an easy victory at Thriks at this 6f distance.

There was an eye-catching turn of speed that she produced at the finish to get that one.

Glenlaurel looks as if she will be comfortable coming up in grade.

KINTA has won two of two so far, both all-weather novices. If she takes that over to the turf, then she is likely to be a threat on Saturday.

On the latest run, she looked commanding under the rider of William Buick, who was back in the saddle on the weekend. Big claims are there.

LEZOO opened her account with back-to-back wins, and victories in the bank at Bath and the Newmarket.

Pushed up to a Group 2 at Newmarket two weeks ago, she just failed out to make it three wins on the spin.

But it was a credible runners-up spot to the hot Mawj in that one.

Tip: LEZOO 15/8

Ones to watch: Glenlaurel 9/2, Kinta 9/1

ZANBAQ has seen form from her effort in the Sandringham boosted since, so is right in the picture in this one.

The dual novice winner claimed a second at Royal Ascot in the Sandringham, and she was tested by a big weight.

This is easier and Zanbaq clearly has some major claims on Saturday at Ascot.

NOVEMBA is not without a chance in this one as she has been in descent from the last twice.

Last season she claimed the German Guineas.

The latest effort from her was a fourth place in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes at this distance.

KIND GESTURE has the form to get herself into this one as she has rapidly been on the up lately.

It’s been back-to-back scored at Wetherby and Windsor on the board the last twice.

It was a productive June for King Gesture and could take things further as she steps up in class.

OSCULA is another to watch for the shortlist in horse racing tips on Saturday as she has been in good shape recently.

There was a victory in a Listed effort at Carlisle last month.

She took back to back place finishes after that in strong contests and she can get right in it.

Tip: NOVEMBER 4/1

Ones to watch: Oscula 13/2, Kind Gesture 9/1

DARK SHIFT is seeking a hattrick in action on the weekend and has won four of his last five.

He has continued to show impressive finishing speed and this is tougher as he has been given a further 6lb to deal with.

But this type of fixture should be right up his alley. Dark Shift shouldn’t be far away.

AIR TO AIR got back to winning ways with a victory at Yarmouth last month in a 7f handicap.

There is plenty to like about Air To Air and this looks like the kind of competitive race in which he should thrive.

Air To Air comes up 4lb for that latest win and can make his presence felt.

ACCIDENTAL AGENT put in a second-place finish at course and distance in May when he took on the Victoria Cup.

The veteran may have a shout on the back of that. He did put in a decent shift in the Bunbury Cup a couple of weeks ago and can get in the mix.

JUMBY is not to be dismissed either from this one and he has former course and distance winning form under his belt too.

He has taken place finishes in very strong handicaps the last twice, including at the Bunbury Cup.

The cheek pieces go on for the first time and Jumby gets on the shortlist.

Tip: JUMBY 7/1

Ones to watch: Dark Shift 4/1, Air To Air 8/1

NAVAL POWER is seeking a hattrick as he puts his unbeaten record on the line on the weekend.

He generally shows a good attitude and he can likely come on even further. He is from a winning yard and Naval Power has massive claims.

BAJAN BANDIT won his debut and could have plenty more in the tank as well, and he’s from a winning yard.

The debut for Bajan Bandit was at Salisbury last month, and while this is a much tougher assignment, it’s only a small field that he lines up against.

MASCAPONE got off the mark at the second time of asking when he banked a victory at Chelmsford 51 days ago.

That was on his first run for this current yard, and it was earned at this distance. More will be needed to take this, but he’s not out of the picture.

Tip: NAVAL POWER 11/10

Ones to watch: Bajan Bandit 9/1, Mascapone 10/1

SAGA was a runner-up last time out as he went close in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot.

That was a course and distance handicap. Last season as a juvenile he did pick up a victory here in a maiden.

Saga has extra work to do as he comes up a further 8lb, but a good claimer shaves some of that off.

RANDOM HARVEST went close with a runners-up spot at Royal Ascot in the Kensington Palace Stakes.

She’s low mileage and landed a victory last time out at course and distance. That was two weeks ago and she rates as a danger.

ATRIUM is good enough to get into the frame as well after taking a third place here at Ascot a couple of weeks ago.

Atrium didn’t have a great position in the contest, so did a reasonable job there.

Back in May, Atrium scored a course and distance win in a handicap.

Tip: SAGA 15/8

Ones to watch: Random Harvest 7/1, Atrium 15/2

BOND CHAIRMAN was a runner-up when last seen at the course and distance a couple of weeks ago.

He couldn’t have been any closer than he was in that one to land the win.

Going back to a track that he likes, Bond Chairman should have a chance.

MOUNTAIN PEAK just got home ahead of Bond Chairman at the course and distance a fortnight ago.

He should be close there again, so like that rival, Mountain Peak is likely to get close.

This is tougher now as he is pushed up to a career-high mark.

KING OF STARS can draw a line through his last effort at Chester as things went wrong at the start.

He didn’t get away cleanly and then got hampered. Before that, he was a close second at Sandown and should get in the frame.

Tip: KING OF STARS 10/1

Ones to watch: Bond Chairman 5/2, Mountain Peak 10/3
