CLASSIC is highly regarded in this maiden as he steps onto the stack for just the second time.

He was a fourth-place finisher on his debut two weeks ago at Newbury. He travelled well and looks like a good one. Classic came from the back of the pack to land fourth.

THE FOXES goes into his third appearance and took a credible fourth on his debut at Newbury. He was then pitched into the Chesham which was a bit too hot for him. The Foxes didn’t settle particularly well at Royal Ascot but have claims.

LOYAL TOUCH is the final one on the shortlist for this contest after a good third on his opening foray. That was at Salisbury and got better the longer the race went on. He’s entitled to come on and has good breeding.

Tip: LOYAL TOUCH 11/2

Ones to watch: The Foxes 9/2, Classic 10/11

LETHAL LEVI is running hot at the moment and has some obvious claims given he is targeting a hattrick.

He looked in terrific shape when scoring at Newmarket on his latest, and he was really dominant in the fixture.

Lethal Levi is under a 6lb penalty for that recent score but carries a 3lb claimer. It’s been three wins in his last five and he should be competitive.

MOKAATIL scored at the course and distance in April, a race that saw him find a nice return to form.

He has followed up with good competitive efforts since then. Mokaatil was fourth in the Dash over at Epsom on his latest run.
There’s no reason why he can’t carry on in the same kind of form and get himself in the picture on Saturday.

THE LAMPLIGHTER is also interesting because he has likely been targeting this race. There’s been decent form from him too.

The Lamplighter is usually pretty strong and reliable at Goodwood. He was a good fifth at the course and distance behind Dream Composer on his latest effort.

DREAM COMPOSER himself is another with big considerations for Saturday’s run as it has been a cracking season for the 4-year-old.

He scored at the course and distance in June. Dream Composer has been in the frame the last twice since then as well, so is another for the shortlist.

Tip: LETHAL LEVI 7/4

Ones to watch: The Lamplighter 16/1 e/w, Mokaatil 8/1

TRAWLERMAN opened the season with a victory, which he put on the board at Chelmsford back in April.

His two runs since then have not panned out at all. He was luckless at Royal Ascot and then at the July meeting at Newmarket.

The hood now goes on for the first time and a big 5lb claimer is going to help Trawlerman. He should be in the frame.

CEMHAAN couldn’t quite get up to speed in the Duke Of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot on his latest run.

But he went to the Royal meeting seeking a hattrick, so it is too early to count him out. He did hit a bit of trouble in the Duke Of Edinburgh to be fair.

It’s been three wins for Cemhaan in his last five efforts and should be right there on the radar with a clear run.

SOAPY STEVENS is another that firmly gets on the shortlist as he has been carrying good form for a while now.

He bidding for a hattrick on Saturday after wins at Chester and Newmarket, the latter at this distance. Soapy Stevens is from a winning yard, so has claims.

VALLEY FORGE was a winner on his penultimate trip, scoring a good competitive 2m contest at Haydock in May.

The Northumberland Plate was then next for him, and he went well for a long way in that one, before fading a bit to seventh.

He’s down on the trip and has big claims at Goodwood.

Tip: VALLEY FORGE 6/1

Ones to watch: Cemhaan 7/1, Soapy Stevens 5/1

SEA LA ROSA continues to shape up in excellent form and on her return banked a Group 3 at Haydock.

She was a runner-up back at the same venue in the Lancashire Oaks on her follow-up. Sea La Rosa is looking wonderfully progressive still.

She has banked three wins in her last five runs and is consistent enough to produce another big showing.

GLENARTNEY has some claims coming up a level after picking up a victory in a Listed race at Pontefract six weeks ago.

That was a fine showing from her on her penultimate she claimed a place finish in a Group 3 at York. Glenartney should be competitive once again.

EMILY DICKINSON got off the mark at the third time of asking and has been trained on since then.

She was only narrowly denied a Group 3 win at Leoarpdsorown on her penultimate run, thriving on a longer trip.

Emily Dickinson was fourth in the Irish Oaks following that in a quick turnaround. This on Saturday looks like it is going to suit her perfectly.

Tip: EMILY DICKINSON 5/2

Ones to watch: Sea La Rosa 7/4, Glenartney 11/1

MR WAGYU brings some good form to the table in the Stewards Cup having won two of his last three.

He will be under a 6lb penalty after claiming a handicap score at the Curragh a couple of weeks ago.

Mr Wagyu is a former course and distance winner and looks ready to pose a big challenge, even though he is on a career-high mark.

REGIONAL has shown good form recently and stays at the same mark giving him claims.

He switched back to the 6f trip after a runner-up at the minimum distance at Doncaster last month.

Ryan Moore is booked and Regional should be right in the mix.

INVER PARK warrants respect in this fascinating renewal of the Coral Stewards’ Cup at Glorious Goodwood.

He picked up a victory in the Buckingham Palace Handicap at Royal Ascot, which saw him complete a hattrick.

This will be a shorter trip for Inver Park and he will be carrying an extra 4lb, but can’t be counted out.

SUMMERGHAND was the winner of this fixture in 2020 and he could pose a threat because he still looks like a good sprinter.

The weights are in his favour as well to launch another bid. Summerghand was fifth in the Wokingham at Royal Ascot on his last, travelling very well.

Tip: REGIONAL 10/1

Ones to watch: Inver Park 9/1, Summerghand 14/1

KOY KOY should be a big player after he went excellent well to pick up a win at Newmarket on his new yard debut last time out.

That score was a couple of weeks ago and he takes a slight drop in trip here.

Koy Koy has been nice and progressive and carrying Ryan Moore, should have a big shout.

GALIAC is another hotly progressing one that has come on leaps and bounds this season.

It’s been two wins in four runs, the first of those was at course and distance in a handicap a couple of months ago.

Last month Galiac got a win at Newmarket before a good third at Sandown. Galiac is of big interest on the return to a winning track.

SPIRIT OF NGURU could have a say in things as he has a good draw and there have been signs of progress.

He was a runner-up on his handicap debut at Haydock four weeks ago. That was his reappearance run too.

As a juvenile Spirit Of Nguru claimed back-to-back wins to finish the campaign. He poses a threat.

Tip: GALIAC 6/1

Ones to watch: Koy Koy 7/1, Spirit Of Nguru 5/1

FOREST FALCON claimed a win on Tuesday here at Goodwood and had plenty to spare in the contest too.

There’s a 5lb penalty he carries as he is thrown straight back into action at the Chesterfield Cup win.

Connections have smartly brought in a leading 5lb claimer to wipe out that penalty. So as long as this isn’t too soon, Forest Falcon has more claims.

KITSUNE POWER has big claims as well as he has laid down some excellent form this season.

He has won two of four efforts. The latest of those was at Nottingham on his perpetuate. There was a very good effort in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot to follow.

Kitsune Power looks good enough to produce a response and get himself right in the thick of the action.

BOLTHOLE was a winner on his penultimate run, scoring at Newmarket on his second handicap appearance.

He was sent to the Britannia at Royal Ascot after that and was well off colour in that one. But he didn’t get any kind of position so may have had excuses.

Bolthole does appear to be on the up at the moment and this is a good opportunity for him.

Tip: KITSUNE POWER 10/1

Ones to watch: Forest Falcon 4/1, Botlhole 8/1
