That’s because there is a top card for the day from the venue including the big Grade 3 Ladbrokes Trophy Chase with its big field.

We have a fairly large field here for the Ladbrokes Trophy Chase on Saturday from Newbury.
One of the main contenders could be DANNY WHIZZBANG who makes his seasonal reappearance. He’s interesting on his first run for a new yard.
The visor goes on for the first time and last season he took a very good Grade 2 win here at Newbury, a novice effort.
Danny Whizzbang never quite kicked on after that, but there are claims for the weekend.
ENRILO was going well over the fences last season it could have been even better for him.
He was disqualified after winning the bet365 Chase for bumping a rival. That could have been his third win of the season in a very good campaign.
Enrilo has won before at Newbury and rates as a big danger for the weekend.
ONTHEROPES brings some fitness advantage to the table after a win at Limerick 45 days ago.
That was a handicap effort and he looked to have come on quite a bit with his form in that one. There has been an extra 12lb handed to the Willie Mullins charge.
EKLAT DE RIRE is another that warrants respect for this interesting contest.
He has looked like a superb chaser and has claimed three wins in four runs in this sphere. The latest of those was a month ago in a Listed effort at Wexford.
So he’s fit and looks to have been very fairly treated for his handicap debut and therefore has a huge chance.

We are down to a 4-runner event for the next race, but all four of these have a chance in what is a very competitive fixture. All four of them won last time out.
SOARING GLORY scored a listed handicap success on his reappearance a month ago. That was at Ascot and was further from behind him.
Last year Soaring Glory claimed the course and distance success here in the Betfair Hurdle. He hasn’t looked back since and so he is a clear threat.
ONEFORTHEROAD is sitting on a hattrick chance with his current form. It’s been four wins in his last five efforts after cruising to a win the last time out.
That was on a 2m trip at Huntington a couple of weeks ago. Onemorefortheroad will look to boss it from the front and can’t be afforded a soft lead.
GOWEL ROAD has won twice over course and distance and made a return to winning ways a couple of weeks ago in a Cheltenham handicap.
CAPTAIN MORGAN goes for Nicky Henderson who has a good track record in this fixture. He scored a lucky win at Ascot a week ago in an improved run. This is tougher.

Another strong lineup is featured next for today’s horse racing betting from Newbury. MASTERS LEGACY was a winner at Chepstow on his reappearance 49 days ago.
It wasn’t a particularly tough challenge however and he still has a lot to prove after a below-par previous campaign.
But there were encouraging signs for Masters Legacy if he can build on that opening effort.
CALVA D’AUGE is in superb form, winning four of his last five runs.
The latest of those was on his reappearance at Kempton with plenty to spare over the hurdles.
Calva D’Auge may feel a little bit more pressure in a tougher race on Saturday, but he looks to have picked up where he left off and has plenty to bring to the table.
BLACK MISCHIEF won at Newton Abbot by a fair distance on his latest, a vastly improved performance from him in what was a weaker contest than this.
But he’s from a top yard and should be ready to launch a bold bid.
BOREHAM BILL could be on the up towards a score having been hampered a bit by the handicapper. A strong pace could put him in it.

Another small field for Newbury on Saturday in which all have a decent claim. Top of the list though is MR INCREDIBLE with that regard.
He has looked like a superb chaser and proved himself in a winning effort at Naas three weeks ago. Mr Incredible has staying quality and should make a big impact coming up in distance.
ASHTOWN LAD won at Wetherby last month, making all in a solid effort to open the season with.
He smashed a field on his handicap hurdle debut 12 months ago and now looks to have something in this sphere.
FLASH COLLONGES finished last season on the up, winning twice. He’s a commanding one and the last of his wins was on his handicap debut.
Although he has to overcome a long break, Flash Collonges is an interesting one stepping into chasing for the first time.
AHOY SENOR lost his rider on his chase debut last month. Last season he was pushed up a fair way in grade and pulled off a surprise win at the Sefton.
There were some huge positives from his last season and a clear run should see Ahoy Senor in the thick of it, based on his previous form.

KALOOKI was in pretty good shape last season, including taking a course and distance win in a maiden chase. The final run of last season was here for him as well.
Kalooki took a superb, eye-catching second place in March here at Kempton, only just failing to get the better of Espoir De Teillee.
He comes back up on a trip now and has every chance to chase if he’s tuned in.
KILLER CLOWN was last seen taking on the Old Roan last month on what was his reappearance run.
It was a credible sixth-place finish that he took there after a wind op.
Given that Killer Clown did have a good progressive season previously, that run could have sharpened him up and he’s not with a chance on Saturday.
KAUTO THE KING has a bit of match fitness on his side and comes up 4lb after a score at Wincanton three weeks ago.
That was another good effort from him and has won five times before in this sphere so can get into this one.
DAME DE COMPAGNIE is no stranger to putting the pieces together from fresh and comes in with great respect. Things went a little south for her after winning at Ayr in January on a chase effort, but can still make an impact.

ELLE EST BELLE could be the one to feature strongly in this fixture as she looks to be one with a lot of potential in the tank still.
She is a dual bumper winner and a bit of greenness on her course and distance hurdles debut three weeks just undid her challenge.
Elle Est Belle was third in that but should be an improved model on her return.
NINA THE TERRIER had the beating of Elle Est Belle at the course and distance three weeks ago. But that rival was unravelled because of having her jumping from deserted her late on.
Still, in her own regard Nina The Terrier has won all three efforts over the hurdles and looks to still have a lot more to come.
The C&D finish that she delivered last time out was very impressive and is on 5lb better terms as well.
AHORSEWITHNONAME split the other two already mentioned in that course and distance run 23 days ago.
She has looked very solid in this sphere and looks as if she will be competitive once again on her second run of the new season.
An interesting one as well is THEATRE GLORY on just her third racetrack appearance.
She’s won the other two, including a hurdling debut three weeks ago. She’s totally exposed by may have some progress to come.
